I’m almost 38 and I’ve never been into spicy books. Or straight up romance novels for that matter. But I’m fine with a little spice, even if somehow I’ve become more of a prude as I’ve gotten older. But if a book has a trigger warning for most things, I’m not going to read it. This is a good discussion though. To each their own. I read primarily nonfiction for fun. I have a hard time getting into most modern fiction. So I’ve been working on writing the fiction that I’d like to read. And since I’m writing with a young adult direction, the spice has to be pretty minimal, even if spicier things are certainly hinted at.
