What a tutorial! At the beginning I thought this is waaay over my skill level and something I just won't be able to do, but explained it so well that I'm pretty confident and going to give this a shot right now. You have a nice way of explaining stuff, glad I found your channel!
I think sheen is supposed to be used to emulate materials like velvet and satin, it doesn't really make sense to just whack it up to one on something like a wool texture
Man that's great, it's always good to come here. Thank you for sharing with us! If I could ask for anything it would be "Make a detailed jeans" pants or jacket. Thanks!!!!
Awesome love your style. I tried recreating it but sadly I just can't. So ill leave it to you man. Thank you for that tip you did at the start, im getting sick of mainly doing each texture and connecting it up.
Excelent tutorial, Remington. At the end of the video, you mentioned that you include a link to your full texturing course but I couldn't find it. Could you share the link, please? Thank you very much!
Great video! I was wondering how do you get your fur to stay the same when you rig your animation? And how do you get the fur to move with the body when you rig your animation?
I was able to use your tutorial to add fuzz to a project I'm working on but I don't know what step I'm missing that would keep the fuzz attached to the mesh after rigging the mesh. If anyone could help, it would be greatly appreciated! At the moment the fuzz stays in place when the mesh moves, so there's like a ghostly fuzz outline where the mesh used to be.
i dont think so. im not in the industry, but i suspect the ideal way is to render the shirt + particle with basic lighting from various angles (front, back) and create a texture atlas from those images. then use the Shirt mesh and UV unwrap, it could prove to be challenging- but there may be different ways to do it. Hopefully rendering the texture and UV Unwrappingwill be akin to 'baking' the particle onto the mesh texture.
The fuzzy fabric is so great! For some reason I'm getting fuzz floating around my object as well as the little hairs coming out of the object. How can I make the floating hairs go away?
Hey ! I really like your tutoriala . I have some rendering problems can you figure it out? When I render in Cycles, denoiser smooths out my details like hairs and small textures . What should I do?
These are the kind of tutorials that I love. Not from beginner level and not a timelapse and not ignoring the small details.
cool stuff :)
Thanks Grant 😊
Oh my first blender teacher is here!

Not learning blender but the cuteness of this business shark is everything.
When I learned what sheen was, I felt stupid. I’ve been trying to get that fabric look for a year now, thank you!
Perrrfect! really brings that nice texture! excited to make amazing stuff with it.
I use the same value node to scale technique. Glad to see I'm not the only one.
I would be incredibly thankful if you made a tutorial/posted a file with your lighting setup/studio featured in this video. Looks absolutely perfect!
That shark is everything
You're killing it with these tutorials!

Great job explaining the details 🙌🏻
Thanks so much for this tutorial! Totally saved my noob project.
for me the hair particles doesn't only come off of the appropriate vertices, it sort of just surrounds the mesh in a tornado of hair
Really enjoying watch this tutos!! Thanks man
Great work! I love the hand crafted look. Thanks for sharing.
Very interesting! I never knew what sheen did until now!
Dude, thank you for your channel!

4:32 - 4 meters... I really had to laugh out loud, because that's what I've too been wondering all the time. Thanks for that comment, Remington :)
Really cool tutorial and straight to the point, thx :)
It's so lovable! (as always:))
Thank you for this informative video. I've always wondered how you made your 3D characters look warm and fuzzy.

awsome!
I don't even own Blender and I watched the whole thing. :O
Just asking, but is it possible to export my shirt with the fuzzy particle as a game asset?

@@_e8a Thanks this helped a lot
is there any way to make the hair avoid an area? it is poking through a part that I dont want it to because another mesh is laying on top of it

does adding the hair fuzz on the clothes affect the render times substantially?

Ah finally I know whta sheen does
Hey quick question. I’ve seen you’ve imported a displacement map too but wouldn’t you have to subdivide the mesh a bunch of a times for it to show?
Might’ve used it as a bump
vivrable
Is it possible that i can export these textures on unity?
can be used this in game?
... Something is wrong with my Blender 3.0 'cause when I type "Ctrl + Shift + T" doesn't appear nothing.
