- Today we show you how to easily replace those dim incandescent bulbs without removing the factory gauge filters by replacing all of the bulbs with bright green LED bulbs. The difference is massive and I would highly recommend watching this video if you are considering upgrading to LED dash lights in general.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more videos.

Did my 2000 Intrepid's Interior, Dash, PRNDL console in Blue LED's in 2015... all are still glowing and being blue LED's today, here in 3rd trimester twightlight zone episode of 2021
thank you so much for all the steps and trick u told us threw the way
Anytime!
Picking up the 1st Gen I've always wanted tomorrow. Today I find your amazing channel with great videos such as this one to give these amazing old trucks the love they deserve. Great looking truck you have there, keep up the good work!
Thanks! I hope that if you have any issue that arise my channel can help you out. I’ve run into just about every problem on these trucks... haha
Thank you!! Currently watching you replace the kingpins haha. I love how (for the most part) easy these trucks are to work on compared to the electronic supercomputers on wheels new cars are. lol We have arguably the best engine ever made in these trucks....just gotta keep the truck built around it together as best we can. haha
Tyler, you need to hit the wrecking yard and find a new clear cluster, gassers well work. Just need to be sure it's from 91-93 because of the button to reset the trip odometer
Them look good where did u get them at?
The jumpy voltage gauge must be a 1st gen thing. Mine used to dance to the turn signal lol. I was chasing a charging issue and added a ground from the motor to the frame and it mysteriously got way better.
Yeah, I think it could be a grounding issue. Temper-mental old things...!
why do you need to drop the steering column? you can access everything by just removing the dash, right? at least how both my 87 and 90 Ram's work
It's easier to pull the dash bezel out without cracking it if you take the fuse panel cover off and drop the steering column a bit.
Looks nice. Can the upgrade also be done on a 78 b100?
It's probably a similar process yeah
Do you have a video on doing ball joints
I have a video on king pins which are on the 4wd trucks
Do you know if the older Dodge trucks (1970s) have the same kind of bulbs? I have several white LED bulbs, will they work or should I buy new ones.
+BulletSpoung I'm not completely sure, but I'd imagine they should be the same. The website on superbright LEDs gives you part numbers based on vehicle application so try that out
T10 or t5 ?
I have a issue when I turn my lights on my dash lights don’t come on
How do i know what color my filters are before i order my bulbs? How did you know yours were green? thanks for video
If any of your lights work currently it should give off the hue of the colour of your filter. All of the 92 and 93s I've dealt with have been greenish blue ish.
any problems with the LEDs getting to hot?
Nope!
Can you do this for my 93 ram with blue LEDs, would pay ya for it?
You are on your own for this one, but the video should help!
What size bulbs are these
194 bulb
Hey were did you get them bulbs really looking into getting some
superbrightleds
@@OvensGarage what are they called on there cant find them
@@jesscooper8723 I don't have the exact part numbers unless I referenced them in the video.
Ovens Garage ok
can i get the link id like to put a set in my first gen
you can buy them on amazon, like a 10 pack for a few bucks any color. Just have to look up what size bulb it requires
Brady Barkela I got my set of ebay for 6 bucks it includes everything 12 led bulbs and new bulb sockets for the first gen rams
I would have gotten red the same color of the truck
When I try to turn my lights to take them out they wont budge no matter how hard I try, does anyone know why?
Mines doing the same thing
ight so I just used some pliers and they came right out, didn’t break anything
They are probably just old and stiff. Use some pliers for leverage.
How many did you use exactly?
If you take a look at my newer video on LEDs in the dash cluster I go through it more in detail and show the back side of the cluster. There is 6 backlight LEDs, 2 turn signals, 4 idiot lights
What numbers are the bulbs?
I don't have the number readily available but there is a cross reference chart in the owners manual.
Ovens Garage yeah mine didn’t come with a owners manual
180 mph on the dash.
