The reason this sounds so good is because it was a great song to start off with....you get some great musicians and singers and then you have some magic too!

This is a great vid! Thanks for posting it! The only thing about EVERY Styx - Come Sail Away song, is that not one drummer can get the ORIGINAL drum part correct. All they do is keep time, and add fill ins. The original was much more then that, and made the song with dramatic change overs, I really wish someone would get the drum part right for once lol, love the video though!
At 11:33:11, my girlfriend are above the ungloved hand above the clock. I know it's obscure, but I'm just THAT proud that I was there. Still hunting for the video of him singing the english version of "100 years from now". Amazing concert.
From how I understand it Dennis wanted them to stop playing roboto live and just act it out like a musical theater peice with backing track. And the rest of the guys were like, "uh, we are a rock band, and noone really takes the story behind mr roboto seriously they just like the song" and he couldn't have that so he left.
actually, Dennis had a severe allergic reaction to light (it happens) and could not tour for quite some time. tommy (i'm all that and not a bag of chips) shaw, didn't want to wait and told Dennis they were going to tour without him. so when Dennis was better, he started touring with his wife and his band and sounds better than Styx does now.

If Styx wasn't a band, then it would be called "Dennis DeYoung featuring Styx". However, Dennis decided to be IN A BAND. It's not like he organized a group of musicians to support him, like he does now. With being in a band comes democracy, and if the band don't like it, they vote against it, e.g. Dennis.
It is amazing at Dennis Deyoung age he has so much energy and can sing notes so high 🎶🎵
