    Thanks for the video. My 2002 had the same problem and this worked great. And I agree that the zipties leave to much motion in the cable.With this fix it is tight as new.

    I used a zip tie and a generous portion of super glue.

    how did you cut that notch? thanks for this video

      I used a Dremel with a small grinding bit, but you can us a round chainsaw file or even a triangle shaped file. You can possibly even do it with a hacksaw. just cut a V into it.

    I'm trying to access the wiring I already know what the problem is the rats chewed through my wiring and it's in the area that you're at but nobody will tell me how to access it I can't reach it all the way from just going underneath the steering wheel it's like between the it's where it runs down through the front panel into the car under the dashboard only I can't reach it I'm about 3 in short how can I access the wiring. The wiring is chewed in that Hollow area where the wiring comes from the engine through the fender panel into the car underneath the dash and that's where I can't reach it how can I access that Hollow area can I take off the front panel or the door or what to get to it I don't think the door will work cuz it looks like it's going into the panel more than the door I'm at my Wit's End I am recouping from a fire in which I lost my husband and my kids and my wolf and my hair and I don't have a dime to my name and nobody will help me to just tell me where it's at so that I can try and do it by myself I have serious lung damage from the fire and can't walk even a half a block so without this car I'm not going to make it because I won't be able to go to the doctors go to the store go anywhere I can't walk even to a bus I need some help all I need to know is how do I access this wiring please

    mine blows air on all front vents but the frost vent and feet. Could that be a fuse as well? thx

    • @ThomasParker70
      @ThomasParker70  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's not a fuse, it's the cable loose.

    Hi I'm the lady that asked about the wiring my name is Constance and I meant to say that I realize you probably get a thousand people asking you questions and I don't mean to be any burden on that but at the same time I am just really getting stressed and cannot seem to find help anywhere and all I need is with that one question answered and I can try and troubleshoot myself to fix it it's becoming dangerous to try and drive without air conditioning defrost no power windows heater and I think it might even be affecting my brakes I'm not sure I'm too busy trying not to hit things or let things hit me because I can't see I've done my best not to drive unless absolutely necessary but I do still need to do doctors and be able to get food on top of trying to build some kind of a check for a home before winter sets in using Lumber scraps from construction yards is there any way you could possibly text me with any kind of option I can't offer you anything right now I don't have anything to offer but I don't have any intentions of staying down or giving up so at some point I'll be back on my feet and maybe can reciprocate either way I do appreciate your time and the effort you take to help folks out in general that is a good quality to have

    What the name of that clip call

    • @ThomasParker70
      @ThomasParker70  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The clip is probably called a "climate control cable retainer", but they will probably hard to find. The clip is usually not the problem in this situation. The problem is the plastic that the clip clips into is broken.
