    Dude, I cannot thank you enough. I have been riding around dealing with hot air for months. Now that its summer its been unbearable. You have quite possibly saved me from having a heatstroke. To add it looks like the change mode dial is also cable driven but i haven't fixed that as I never use it anyway.

    Great video. This is an easy fix. I fixed mine in about 15 minutes yesterday with a .05 cent cable tie. It was a heavy duty cable tie and for good measure I put one drop of super glue toward the back of the cable on the zip tie/cable/housing area and another on the zip tie/housing. It works perfect. This would have cost at least $100.00 to $150.00 or more at a reputable repair shop. Thanks for the lesson.

    Dude. Thank you. You saved me $100. Mechanic told me to replace the “actuator motor” of the thermostat. Lol.

    You just saved me $800. Pep Boys told me my A.C. wasn't working because my compressor was bad and that's how much they wanted to fix it. 1 screwdriver, 2 zip ties and your video later and now I have cold air. Thank you so much.

    hey thanks for the vid! this helped me take everything apart and fixed my vent control switch. but i have a question. after I put everything together, I was checking the fan speeds. I wasn't sure if this was normal or maybe I messed something up. 1 and 2 seems to be a lot slower than 3 and 4. there's a big difference in speeds between those. is that normal? or is it supposed to be just a gradual change between each speeds instead of 1 and 2 bring slow and 3 and 4 being super fast? lol i don't remember since I haven't driven my spec v in awhile. I'd truly appreciate it if u can let me know how ur fan speed is. thanks!!

    • @RoadeoCowboy
      @RoadeoCowboy  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey! Are you sure that then fan speed wasn't like this before you fixed the vent control switch? It seems to me an unrelated issue. Might want to check this video th-cam.com/video/oW8f5BTtFdo/w-d-xo.html

    How to fix the aircon switch

  • @avensis17
    @avensis17 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hello, my problem is I don't have heat or cooling. Also, my radiator fans are not working. Tried testing the relays and fuses but all of them are working fine.

    • @RoadeoCowboy
      @RoadeoCowboy  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Did everything stop working at the same exact time?

    • @avensis17
      @avensis17 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not sure about the radiator fans but after I noticed that the ac doesn’t blow cool air, I tried turning it off and on but no ticking sound from the compressor just the blower

    • @RoadeoCowboy
      @RoadeoCowboy  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@avensis17 i would approach this as two separate possibly unrelated problems. Fix the radiator fan issue first as that is more urgent.

    I have the 2005 Nissan Sentra 1.8 L S I have heat on the floor and side but I have no defrost

    • @RoadeoCowboy
      @RoadeoCowboy  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is strange because typically it’s the other way around where only the defrost works. Which in that case it’s a vacuum air issue. Sorry could not be more helpful, let me know if you are able to resolve.

      Same exact car here, she's been with me since she was basically new pretty much. About 250k miles and still kicking! Anyway, there's 2 cables in there bud. Check the one on the right side, behind the vent selector knob. It works the exact same way as the temperature knob fix shown in this video. It's just on the underside of the control unit so you can't see it from the top, gotta look at it from the bottom. Little more of a pain to get at but it's totally doable and the same exact concept. Both the clips were broken on mine, zip tied both back down to keep the cables secure and now the system works like a champ again.

    Sounds like he broke it no wonder why it doesn't work right duh? Twist the knobs duh wonder why listen

    • @RoadeoCowboy
      @RoadeoCowboy  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      As most do understand, things breaking down in cars is considered a normal part of car ownership. This video is meant to help others how they may remedy the same HVAC control issue.
