This is the exact video I needed. Thank you so much man. These are really great cars too. They run forever. Mine has 230k miles now and starts and drives like a brand new car. An easy 3-400k mile car.

Thanks for this video! Perfect fix for potentially hazardous problem. Fixed my car in less than an hour. No way I could have done it without this video.

Excellent DIY video man. Both my vent selector and temp selector knobs gave up at the same point. Dealership wants $400 to fix this...hell no. I’ll be doing it myself now. Thanks for the how to 🙌

Thank you! My home rehab is keeping the budget pretty tight and my vent selector stopped blowing air to the windshield just in time for the snow and frost. This will allow me and my wife travel safely this winter!

I really thank you so much for your video.. Turns out my selector detach from other end. Under stearing wheel.. Unfortunately I couldn't attach cable.. I had no space to work with. I just moved it with my finger to leave it for feet and front windshield.. Thanks again..

Awesome video. One additional tip, after a while the cable may work its way loose from the ziptie. I suggest adding a bit of epoxy or hot glue and fasten the ziptie to the outside part of the cable. Just make sure not to get any on the wire that has to slide easily in and out of the cable.

I fixed the left side (hot cold blend) back in August, and today (February 25) I fixed this side. I don't know why they put it on the bottom side but it was a little tougher to access. The ways it's designed it's like they knew people would need to fix it with a cable tie. Mine is a 2002 GXE. Low miles and very well taken care of but a piece of junk. Great video.

Really is a great video, only issue I had was trying to work the unit out enough to be able to work on it. I have been just pushing the cable to the front setting for summer and pulling it out for defroster in winter. Works but its a pain in the ass. Might just spend the 79 bucks to get a new assembly
