Taka boss still freaks me out to this day. When I first saw it, I was 17 years old. I'm 33 now, and seeing that boss is still a bit unsettling...like this comment if you agree.
Yeah, like one moment, Taka is like an turtle like monster, but then the next it turns around to reveal it's disgusting, uncanny valley looking human face that vomits and blows flies out of it's nostrils! What the crap!?
I saw this comment and fast forwarded. My reaction was “oh this isn’t so bad it’s just the first boss from snes cont….oh my fucking god no god damn it no”
Surprised Konami never did some sort of hybrid genre with either Contra or Gradius. Like, space battles against the Bacterians with the Vic Viper ship across different planets/zones/dimensions and whatever while fighting ground forces in the style of Contra.
What's wrong with this game? If anything, it truly revived the series after those two godawful games made by Appaloosa on the PS1 and does a better job at showing how Contra works in 2.5D or 3D.

Some of the bosses remind me of something you’d see in a brutal 80’s/90’s ova, something like Genocyber.
yeah????
and to think that ova was written be the guy who later being the series writer for FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST!
Thumbnail: Shows Lucia front and center.
Actual video: Goes through whole game as Bill.
Thumbnail shows Lucia from OG, not Shattered Soldier.
I’ve always loved the Ridiculousness of the Contra series 😎
I really like the submarine boss since it can freaking transform into a chopper XD
The GI Joe Submachopter.
It turned into an Osprey inspired chopper. The chopper model that keeps malfunctioning in the US army.
Maybe the best Contra game, with Hard Corps and Uprising. 😮
Hah. Even the Famicom (not NES) Contra games beat C:SS.
There's almost nothing but brown and grays in this game.
Did play this game as an early Adult. Love the storyline & they really explained Red Falcon’s true motives in the game.
This brings back memories
My brother and I played this game until we reached the end because with 2 players the difficulty increases

If there's anything that's for a fact about this series, it's that it wrote the definition of unhinged esculation in its boss fights.
You deserve a "best Boss mug" since you always Record the "all Bosses" stuff 😂
some of the bosses I remember seeing as a kid, were straight up nightmare fuel, and I mean the grotesque bosses
flying "motorcycle" making tire screeching sound?
next time gunvolt?
only complaint with contra bosses (this goes for the whole series)
why does everything gotta have a human face, burn it ;w;
More like HD Remastered version
Transformer💀 4:30 34:19
Are born in 1991 man
The second embarrassment for the Contra series.
