I got to say truly love the game the game plays phenomenon was always. An the story was pretty decent it was like a Saturday morning cartoon. and the voice acting was on point 💪😉💯🔥 and I also heard that in the next update they might allow weapon overload swaps and allowing you to change certain characters mobility options. For example any character that has like a grappling hook can be swapped out for a dash/slide
@@LeoHoldenCrossYep. This can be helpful for various characters, like Ariana having a dash would help a lot, or if they would go as far as to give characters like Lucia a double jump. But yeah experimenting around with mobility would help a lot for characters that didn't originally have them.
Yeah, I'm not sure what the best way is to deal with that. I've been dashing to the side and jumping on the wall as soon as I hear it coming, but last time I did that, the lasers trapped me instantly. Maybe just going into the corner and deciding where to go from there works better.

I always thinking to do a run with using Hard Corps Uprising BGMs but I even didn't own the game so it's impossible to me I don't know why but it feels the original and the remakes bgm after you got after finishing the game doesn't feels fit..
My brother told me about this last weekend on the phone and I had a feeling you'd be giving it a go. It doesn't seem too bad to be honest, clearly being a 2.5D reimagining of the first three Contra games. Kind of surprised they didn't include more elements from them though, such as the corridor & overhead sections, instead of those pretty obnoxious scrolling levels. I mean, it's not supposed to be a copy of Gunstar Heroes now, is it? (^_^;)

Very heavily influenced by the first and third games without a doubt - it even has the original corridor sections - with the final boss from Super Contra making an appearance at the end. Better perks simple allow 3 to 5 to be equipped lucia needs double jump spray gun ending is somewhat ok but flat she won't be honest with her own team gets left behind to only return later doctor pushes here away does not care everyone just vanishes and go's there own way main two heroes get nothing at the very end i beat hard mode nothing for my troubles to get anything you must follow a direction and have huge amounts of points no extra tracks or characters for story just arcade my rating here is a 4 out of 10 i would love to see the one on the phone with all of those characters make it to the switch won't happen i feel but would be amazing to see.
This game has 2 big flaws, 1. Contra characters have too strong weapons, homing rockets should be available only on easy mode for example 2.The player can't run through the levels like a joke and kill the boss so easily, my point is the enemies should instantly shoot the Contra characters without waiting and with lots of bullets....Thus the game has a kindergarten level of difficulty
I agree that this is an enjoyable game. My main problems with it are the art direction and the awful story. It's a shame cause I think most of the Contra games are awesome, especially hard corps
What’s wrong with the story? Story was actually decent with great voice acting. You must haven’t played other Contra games? I like Neo Contra but the story was ridiculous. They had a guy named plant Contra who behaved like a villain from scooby doo and had a talking dog name Dog Contra. Then there is one stage where you are running on the helicopter propeller blades like sonic the hedgehog while it’s air borne and you shootings down combat planes and even airborne battle carriers😂. But guess what, even while being over the top crazy it was a blast. So like others are saying the story is not really a negative of the game since it’s mostly just there for those that maybe into story modes. Shattered Solider story basically told us this was all a misunderstanding because the Aliens only attack earth because our government stole something from them and they wanted it back so humanity was the real villains.😂 But guess what, it still was a good game. This is how I know some people are not real Contra fans. They will complain about something on this game but praise other games in the franchise that either has the same problem or worse. Meaning they are pretenders and may have a favorite Contra game and disappointed that this game is not like whatever Contra is their favorite which 9/10 it won’t be none of the 1st four Contra games which is Contra, Super C, Contra 3 and Hardcorps. As stated above some of them can’t even be a true fan of Shattered soldier or Neo considering the story. I promise you the majority of those trashing the games are mostly Shattered soldier and Hardcorps uprising fans. While both of those games are good too these individuals must have grew up on these games. So this is mostly a generation thing. Do know about this guy though, I’m pulling his Contra fan license just for complaining about the story mode. I wouldn’t be surprised if some these guys are undercover Contra legacy war fans
Maybe I understand the art direction, but I don't get your beef with the story. Contra has always been a Gameplay>Story series, so I don't really get that part. If you want a more story focused run and gun shooter, play something like Cuphead or Huntdown.

This would help with brad fang. Despite being a wolf he has horrible mobility in the game imo.

Great job! Was curious to see how you deal with stage 6 boss' ''rotating laser beams'' but he didn't attack with those.

It's a very good game. Only real problem for me is the length of the autoscroll stages.
