I watched this despite believing I understood this completely. However, you shed some simple insights on Subtract at Overlap that helped me understand it even better. You really do a nice job on these tutorials - quick, straightforward, and immediately useful. Thanks!

I have an issue where I would like to unite them so the lines aren't engraved twice, but I'm not sure the best way to go about it. When I try to do it it deletes everything except for a couple lines which tell me I'm doing something wrong. For reference I'm trying to make a collage of flowers and stems on a Tumblr and there are some flowers I would like to give the look of being behind other flowers. Are you able to make a video on something like that?

Hi, I'm not 100% sure what you mean, Do you mean you want to unite some flowers but keep some of the lines where they overlap to score? If so then I would use the scissors tool on a duplicate copy and then place these lines over the united one. I have a separate video on the scissors tool if you need help with that? Thanks Gav

@ThemeXDigital that could probably work, I'm doing a score instead of engrave on everything and when I overlap flowers the lines just all go through so sometimes a flower looks like it's all chopped up because of the other flowers lines overlapping
