Also let me know how you get on with this technique and tell me what you make 😀 Thanks Gav.

I am amazed at how simple you make this look. I have not even attempted to use the pen, but I am feeling like I can try now. Thank you so much.

Give it a try, I know you can do it 😀 I try to use the least points as possible to get the smoothest shapes as you can always add more in if needed and thanks for watching 😀

That's great 😀 Once you know how it works and which one to use you can make anything, and with a little practice it gets easier and easier too!

Thank you! I had asked in a group how to make part of a line cut and part of it score, but never received an answer. This explained exactly what I needed to do! I used the pen tool to trace some patterns that I made and was able to shave off 14 or more seconds processing time on each. May not seem like much, but it is a set of 13; so I am able to save 3 minutes and 41 seconds when I process the set.

That's Fantastic! Any time saved is a bonus especially around Christmas time, Plus it helps with the life of the laser too! Well done and thanks for watching 😀

That was an excellent explanation and has cleared so many problems up that I was having. Thanks for taking the time to make this video. As an iPad user I’m also struggling to split my projects onto different canvasses, I can’t seem to find the menu that PC users have that says copy and paste. You wouldn’t know anything about that would you? Looking forward to learning more from your other videos….. Know Expert!

Thank you and to be honest I don't think the iPad version of XCS has all the features of the desktop version so I would suggest using the desktop version if you can. I'm sure the iPad version also scales drawings on import too which can be a pain.
I have just uploaded quite a few different tutorials on XCS so I'm sure there is something else that you can learn on my channel too and thanks for watching 😀

Thanks so much for sharing this information.
    Question and request time . . .
I need to learn how to use Weld on a layered map that I've bought in as an svg. I want the weld part to create the final shape from what arrives in a rectangle form.
    Thanks in advance 😊

Thanks for watching and I have a video on understanding the Boolean modifiers: Unite, Subtract etc coming on Monday so this will help you understand how to weld the parts together. Thanks Gav 😀
