The confusion about almost everything in this trailer is confusing to me. It's way overthought. It's Marcus and Dom, man. I'm not sure what you're not getting.

They’re younger and they got progressively bigger with each game. Implying they were on juice or hgh maybe even gene therapy to fight the locusts more evenly. Hence why he’s also being just rag dolled by a drone versus the gears 2 trailer where he carries one like it’s a toddler as a meat shield 😂.
Brother it’s a prequel before he was locked up. They look different because they are younger here.
The one thing that put me off about Marcus is his face, at this stage it looks like he doesn’t have the scar on the right side of his face(right from Marcus’s perspective)
He doesn’t, he gets the scar in the Slab (10 years after Eday) but even the pretty boy look caught me off guard. He’s got a thinner face and longer hair now, thought he was Arthur Morgan for a second 💀
I think they look different because they’re way younger. Also Marcus doesn’t have his scar. Small detail that makes a big difference. Super hyped though
Found out later that they intentionally made them different, TC are trying to go for a much more “realistic” style with this one I’m excited for it. Marcus does kinda look like Arthur Morgan tho

I was kinda hoping for a proper Gears 6, but at least we got something Gears related 🤷♂️
Honestly I'm actually really excited for this. I'm thinking with all the leadership changes a Gears 6 would be hard to continue while keeping the same identity so a fresh return to form might work out incredibly well.
@Buster-McTunder Or maybe they need more time for Gears 6. If A, the open world rumors are true, and B, making two timelines for JD and Del.
In a post from the Xbox Wire newsletter, they just released and interview about how they definitely plan to return to the 4&5 saga but they’re taking a step back to make this game as an origin story and show off what they can do with Unreal Engine 5.
