Since Capcom's Super Elections Results Came Out To An Extremely Pleasent Surprise For Us Devil May Cry Fans To Know That Devil May Cry 5 Turned Out To Be The Winner Of Favorite Game And The Wacky Woohoo Pizza Man Dante Won Best Character Not To Mention The Survay Showing The Overall High Demand For A Brand New DMC game shows a bright future for the entire franchise hopefully leading to a potential Devil May Cry 6 The Devine Comedy so I'll be speculating on that possibility - บันเทิง

A DMC game with a fully fleshed out Co-op mode would absolutely be Sick. Especially if it has Couch Co-op. Not enough games have that feature and I really think that is something they should be brought back into gaming.
Dude for real local Co-Op must be brought back into video games as a whole because there are times where anyone would want to play a video game with their buddy at home so in DMC6 all Co-Op options must be avaliable

DMC is one of those franchises that only ever increases in popularity over the years. Its the same thing that happened to MGRR really, where more people look at it over the years and go "holy shit this is cool". Probably an effect of the character action genre, because all it takes is one person seeing a combo video or a funny and cool cutscene to get interested.
I can see it taking one or two more years for a dmc6 reveal at most, definitely can't be a 10 year wait like with 4 to 5.
Capcom dropping a Marvel vs Capcom rerelease, the Ace Attorney translations, Monster Hunter will hold me over for another year. I can let them cook #6 for a minute tbh. Imagine getting DMC6 before Pragmata!? 😩

@@Devil-Joe co-op was cut in dmc5 at least the one we got is severely limited it would be cool if we can get it fully in 6 as well as having lady and Trish playable again cause they did not do very good in 4 especially at higher difficulties

Devil May Cry 5 is literally the best character action game I've ever played, way better than like MGR or Nier Automata, altho u could argue the latter has a better story.
As a charecter action game DMC 5 is the only game in the last 5 years for to come out as a full package interms gameplay and story for me
DMC is not all about story, it has a decent enough story line to have fun and play but it's not Shakespearean by any means, simple yet fun

It's not super deep but it's not super shallow either, it's fairly balanced especially when you realise the novels very well expand on the story

A DMC6 game revolving around Dante and Vergil mending their relationship while they traverse through hell and Nero becoming a father would be an amazing storyline to follow.
I have no idea how the combat can be improved for DMC6. DMC5 has a damn near perfect combat system. I can really only think of giving Nero more weapons, and giving Dante Doppelganger and Quicksilver from DMC3. I'm not sure where the story could go. Maybe bringing Mundus back to finish him off? They could also give Sparda a prequel game. Maybe some kind of time travel story where Sparda is a main character. I just wanna play as Sparda. I also want the art style to be like DMC3 or 4. DMC5's realistic art style is cool and impressive, but I like the anime-like art style of the previous games. I also would love remakes of DMC1 to modernize it, and a DMC2 remake to make it good.
A Devil may cry Zero type of game would be really cool to see.
@@BlackstonelegionI absolutely agree, I want to play as Sparda tearing up Mundus's forces. I'm not sure how Sparda would play to be unique over Dante but I'm sure it'd be cool. Just having the game be a prequel would be fine, time travel doesn't really feel right for DMC. However to not make things stale, maybe you could play as other demons that help Sparda? But I'd still prefer a sequel that follows Dante and co instead of a prequel.

we're honestly long overdue for a DMC6. While I do love SF6 and think RE4R is really damn good remake, I miss the days when capcom had a lot of variety with their IPS as opposed to just sticking to their big ''Sellers'' as opposed to having a variety of stuff they can stick too. Devil May Cry has a ton of fuel in the tank for more games and content.

How about some extra lore the Dark Knight, Sparda? I know the mystery about who he was is what added to his appeal but it has been 5 (excluding the reboot) games now and the story between Dante, Vergil and to an extent Nero has been concluded well enough. Though gameplay should the key feature of DMC 6: The Divine Comedy. Great title.

With Vergil and Dante reconciling their sibling kinship....there should be a next dmc game that can switch between Dante and Vergil gameplay, together solving a mystery and Mundus should return as the final boss bringing the franchise to full circle that started with Dmc 1 in 2001. Also dmc 6 should explore some detailed back story on Sparda and Eva.

I just wish if they ever start developing dmc 6 that it would go way back and let us play sparda this time and what happened to him in the end. If they can't make it sparda focused they can just let us play snippets of his past that leads to some events in the story like how he created rebellion and yamato or what event that led him to "wake up from justice" and betray the demonworld or how he sealed the temen-ni-gru.
hopefully, the next DMC will have a lot of support and DLC and well as being accompanied by a kick ass anime that helps its reputation ( like what edge runners did for cyberpunk 2077 )

Well that's a fair point Capcom shouldn't rush these games or we get Devil May Cry 2 and Devil May Cry 4's unfinished levels
The problem with DMC 6 is that unlike RE franchise f.e. there is only 1 team working on it, and from 3 onwards there is only one director of franchise's games - Itsuno. If we take a look at probably the most known franchise that has new game every year - CoD, there are 3 main studious that works on it - IW, Treyarch & Sledgehammer. Same was in RE games: RE7, RE2R & RE3R were made by 3 different teams which were lead by 3 different directors.
Development cycle in Capcom modern day is usually 4 years - officially DMC5 was developed in 4 years (DMC5 released in 2019, DMC4SE in 2015, that makes sense) RE: Village which is direct sequel to RE7 arrived in 2021 - 4 years after RE7 (which released in 2017), RE2R released in 2019, 4 years after same team made RE4R.
And the problem with DMC6 is that Itsuno also is a director Dragon's Dogma games. Dragon's Dogma 2 released THIS YEAR (and again DMC5SE released in 2020, DD2 in 2024, again 4 years) so DMC6 will probably arrive in 2028. If course Capcom could make another team, not lead by Itsuno, so we could have new DMC games every 2 years, but the question is - wouldn't that drop the quality of DMC games? There are endless examples of other game franchises where publisher wanting more games gives franchise to a different team & director which have a bit different vision on games, and that usually ends badly - community hates both game and new dev. team. Remind how RE3 Re was reviwed, even RE7 had mixed reviews at release (I mean not on steam, but in RE community)
Give more new & original characters for DMC6 alongside Nero & the whole DMC crew!
A DMC6 where Mundus comes back (conveniently where he could say hi to *Vergil’s* son), and Nero goes to the Underworld to assist in sealing him away or them finally killing him before they return to the human world would be a good premises. DMC is my absolute favorite game series. It would be an absolute shame if we never got a 6th installment
I once came up with a story idea for DMC6. Nero has to be seen as a competent and complete devil hunter on his own now, but at the same time, Dante and Vergil remain much more powerful and experienced. So, what if Dante and Vergil discover a new demon who's trying to take over all of hell, and they end up fighting against him. The fighting starts to spill out into the human world and Nero decides to chip in. The whole thing then becomes sort of an unspoken contest between the three of them to prove which one is stronger. Eventually all three of them have a proper co-op (not the shitty Arkham fight) fight against the new demon in a final, climactic battle. It also serves as kind of a redemption for Vergil in saving the world, as well as allowing Dante to come back to the human world with Vergil.
If we get a dmc 6, then it should be about Sparda. We need it explored how he died and how he defeated mundus. Either that or a game about vergil. He also needs a solo game.
A Sparda game would be a prequel Devil May Cry Zero sounds like a good title

When most of games capcom made appears a lot of content but after their hype it almost disappear, 5 years later its still appearing dmc5 content, it shows that the replay factor of dmc5 is incredible, the possibility of the combos are infinite that's why dmc5 make you replay it more and more times for you get really good at it (sorry if I made a mistake on orthography, I'm Brazilian)
Well it happens with a lot of games, their initial 1-2 years work wonders, but after some time it starts to disappear.
The only capcom titles that I've seen still getting attention are either the OG RE4, the RE4R and DMC5 rn, not including the MH series because the game has just launched
It's all good man but yeah DMC5 and 4 are thriving to this day because of their combat mechanics on their own hell I'd argue there's alot to master in these titles

Well as an old long time Devil May Cry fan.. Seeing Devil May Cry 3, 4, and 5 getting their own Special Edition.. If Capcom ever remakes Devil May Cry 1 and 2 those two games should have their own Special Edition as well.. Hell have Devil May Cry 6 be about Sparda or be the continuing after the events of Devil May Cry 5..

God I hope I don't mess up this explanation on my thoughts. Some of the reasons why DMC6 hasn't happened yet is due to Itsuno wanting to go and do his own games (Like the Dragon's Dogma series), he is also someone who jumped into the series starting with 2 and that was only after Capcom put him on the project due to the first director for DMC2 botching things so badly. So while I do like (and am thankful for) what he has done for the series, I'm under no delusions about how connected/bonded he is with this game series (hell, 3 only happened due to Itsuno feeling like he needed to apologize for how bad 2 is. 2 is still better than the reboot).
The other thing is: Capcom. Pay close enough attention and you may spot a pattern where a director will quit and suddenly cancellations galore and this directly affected the DMC series. What? Was I supposed to forget that DMC4 is not what it was supposed to be due to Capcom cutting the development time down from 2 years to just 1 year mid way through the first year of developing the game? Along with budget cuts from just that development time removal alone plus possibly more we may not even be aware of? (These things may have soured Itsuno to this series.) Just remember, Shiji Mikami and Hideki Kamiya directed DMC1. So after they left, what happened to the IPs they made? Shit-canned or had one (or more) of the worse releases ever, then shit-canned! (This system of corporate BS was most apparent after Keiji Inafune left, considering how blatant Capcom was. Seriously, canceling any possible announcements? Especially after MML3 and MM Universe were thrown away?) Only reason why Capcom let up on their policies, spurned on by Bitter Bitch Syndrome, was due to how much they were down the debt-hole caused by their childishness (also know as over-entitled stupidity).
SF5 and MVC:I tanking was a good thing. Because of all the lost revenue, caused by IP torpedoing, they were banking everything on SF and other fighting games as a sort of "Fuck You, we don't need or want you!" power play. One that failed. God those games were bad. Never mind the SF4 spam and how with every re-release of that game they dumb-down the combat. This is why we ended up getting MM11, DMC5, Okami HD on 8th (and technically 9th) gen consoles, RE7, RE2R, RE8, RE4R and a lot of other remasters, remakes and new entries. They had to be hurt in the wallet, by a fucking lot, for us to get here and it has been worth it. We just need to keep doing this and constantly remind them we are the reason why they have a paycheck in the first place. Never let up and always remember they will try that BS again if we allow them.
I hope they combine what I love about dmc 3 and dmc 5 with dmc 3 time stop and doppelgänger and dmc 5 enemies would be the perfect dmc game and I wonder if they would reveal who Nero’s mom is.

If they ever make a DMC6, I hope they go back to the more Japanese-esque art style and graphics the older DMC games had prior to the reboot and 5, y'know, kinda like how other Japanese studios like Square Enix and Bandai Namco still do it for their newer games. There was no need to westernize DMC5's graphics or any other modern-day Capcom game's graphics.
The Gothic anime style they had in DMC1 3 would work well for DMC6
@@Devil-JoeWhat I mean by that is that a lot of Capcom games lately have so photorealistic to the point where they don't even look like they made by a Japanese studio and look more like they're made by Western studios like Rockstar or Bethesda, which don't really fit the themes of their games, especially long-running Capcom franchise like Devil May Cry or Resident Evil. Square Enix keeps the Japanese aesthetics of their franchises, and so does Bandai Namco, so I don't know why Capcom can't do the same with theirs.
Based on the polls, the future for us DMC fans is definitely at an all time high and I couldn't be any happier than that!

I really love Dante as well, if they ever make a DMC6 I think Rueben Langdon might not be Dante because he was replaced in SF6, coping on this one for sure. However its only SF6 that he was cancelled from. DMC Peak of Combat the mobile game he still reprises a DMC3 Dante there, but in a different universe, so there's hope he'd still reprise the role of Dante there.
Well the DMC team were more open to bring him back since they thought the backlash he got because of his opinion on stuff wasn't warranted but the street fighter team took it to heart that's why he didn't reprise his role for Ken masters

It's weird. As a man of the first hour, I consider myself a HUGE fan of the series, and yet, I have been advocating for letting the franchise rest ever since DMC3.
I even was initially on board with the concept of a reboot, back before it became clear that Capcoms motivation behind it turned out come from a very bad place.
A big part of me fondly remembers the absolute roller-coaster of a ride that loving DMC has been, and I don't want to take any hypothetical future with the series away from people who entered the fandom at a later point than me. But I wouldn't be angry if the new DMC Anime turns out to be the last thing we see from the franchise for a good while.
Well the franchise in my opinion after DMC 5 has one hell of a bright future ahead of it especially after 5s open ended ending

Devil May Cry 6
PLOT: Nero, head of the Devil May Cry business sits at the desk opening "Junk Mail". While sifting through envelopes, he comes across an envelope with a wax seal sword on it that says "From Sanctuary".
Nero opens it and finds a letter from a group of Exorcist calling themselves Pre-Orders. They claim to have a demon artifact that Nero may be interested in. They leave a disclosed location where one of their operatives would meet with Nero to discuss their findings.
Behind the letter is a photo of a Silver Pendant incrested with a pink Jewel. Immediately recognizing it, Nero informs Trish and shows her the photo.
Trish, convinced that the photo must be a fake; tells Nero that she thinks it's a trap. Nero responds that he had no intentions of walking into a trap.
At that moment, the wall behind them explodes, a small pack of muscular demons slowly approach them from behind the smoke.
As one demon rushes through the smoke at Trish and Nero, both of Nero's arms demonize. He swings at the demon and misses, barely grazing the demons chin. But the force of his swing sends the demon flying.
Nero tells Trish to go find Kyria, Nico and Lady while he dispatched their unwanted invaders. (Game introduced Nero's Knuckle Busters)
Shortly after defeating the demons, a young lady of small stature stands on top of the Devil May Cry and applauses his performance.
She says "I was wondering if I had the right address, I still don't quiet understand postal service". As Nero begins to ask who she is, Kyria, Nico run outside.
Kyria looks at the roof in shock as she says the name Sanctuary. The girl says "hello long time no see Kyria" she looks at Nico and says "Oh, I'm the love child of your dad and Sanctus, so to speak. Do you like to experiment as much as your daddy did"
Nico replies "Not even". Nero asks sanctuary what she wants. Sanctuary pulls a feather out from behind her and holds it in the air, a bright light shines and from it appears a white owl like demon where Sanctuary once stood.
The demon says "I want Sparda. So that I can do what all of our fathers failed to do, and raise Devils properly; if you know what I mean".
Nero battles Sanctuary. If her formidable speed and strength weren't enough for Nero; her rapid regeneration makes her difficult to handle.
As Nero is on the ropes, Trish arrives with Sparda in hand. Trish says "I don't think you can handle this".
Sanctuary replies "Try me". Nero begs her not to, but Trish launches Sparda towards Sanctuary right through Nero.
As Sanctuary reaches for Sparda, Nero grabs the blade and swings it a Sanctuary, cutting the Devil May Cry Headquarters in half; along with Sanctuary's left arm and leg.
Sparda burns bright blue and transforms into a sword resembling Red Queen..but blue (Devil Sword Nero)
Sanctuary withdraws from the battle, before she leaves; she says Uncle Arius is gonna be so mad at me.

Also I think it's time to make a story about Sparta that way we can get to play the legendary dark knights whole entire fucking game for himself and be able to beat the crap out of endless hordes of demon with the sword is Sparta the Yamato and the rebellion all together and also eventually see what it's like when all three of the swords are put together
If we get a DMC6 I hope they give us DMC4 combat mechanics
As much as I love DMC5 the combat in 4 is just so damn smooth and fast
They should do one thing that the Insomniac Spider-Man games do like adding in settings for inertia mechanics and gravity intensity to customize how you want these things to play out

Those tend to look better in my opinion when all games look 100% realistic they start to look the same
Honestly i like where the story ended. I think remaking the 1st 4 would be more interesting, especially 2 & 4, they are unfinished games.
If they do make 6 tho, i would rather have it set between 3 & 1.
One thing I really hope for is able to play the entire game again as only 1 character.
Cause I sick of playing as V and want to play as other character without needing mod.
Yeah a divergence mode is quite needed actually in these games
I just hope that whoever it is that is cooking dmc6 isn't the same guy who came up with gigapede and gilgamesh

@@Devil-Joe exactly! that's why I'm hoping they get somebody really good in game design for dmc6. my guess on why they are taking so long to release dmc6 is because they realized what a hit dmc5 has been and want 6 to live up to fan expectations.

As much as i want to have a sequel, but i think it's much better to wait longer for them in order the game itself to wouldn't get a rushed development cuz let's be real here, no one would want another DMC2 in the series, i mean as another example, don't you guys remember what Capcom did to RE3 Remake?
Well that's also a factor to consider even DMC4 was rushed to the point it's missing entire sections maybe its better for a DMC game to take its time in the oven but I'd just like to know if it'll even be a thing

the RE ENGINE. There is something about this engine that makes me feel uncomfortable, and this is very noticeable in Devil May Cry 5 and the strange movement of the models' faces

Honestly I think the smartest move that Capcom should do is go back to the first two original games which is devil May cry 1 and devil May cry 2 because there time to shine for a remake needs to be done and on top of that I wouldn't mind if they also did the treatment for devil May cry 3 and 4 only to give devil May cry 3 a little bit more move even though I love the movesets to the original devil May cry it still feels like there should have been a little bit more for Dante and Vergil move sets maybe that's just me but I still love the original games but I do feel like it's time for them to get a remake treatment
I would love to see a remake of DMC 1 and 2 if I'm being real I don't mind a DMC3 remake myself that already has style switching from the jump and some weapons for Vergil

Am i the only one who thinks we dont need a dmc6. Dmc 5 has the best set up right now but just needs a few touches. I promise you if we add these 5 features we will literally be fine
1. An actual co op for every mission. Everyone wanted to do this. Juggling enemies with your bros would be sick and i literally played it mainly for mission 13. If you are concerned about balancing just make it so we have to use the same difficulty and make legendary dark knight playable for everyone. That would be a perfect mode for co op. Also dont make vergil unavailable for co op. Thats just dumb.
2. Allowing us to pick any character for any mission after beating the game(at a certain difficulty if you like) because the topic of mains makes no sense. Plus i want to use dante to fight geryon and do fun shit.
3. Costumes. Dante has been a main character in 5 frigging games. Capcom really doesnt think it would be a good idea to add his previous costumes in his iterations? Same for nero. Why is dmc 4 not a costume? Come on now capcom. You cant call it the ultimate singleplayer experience without costumes.
4. After beating son of sparda i think you get dante's full custom..why not have something similar for nero allowing us to switch his devil breakers. If they made us hold l1 to switch them out to extend combos..i love the artemis boss fight but I ltierally only have 2 aircombos as nero..givisng us that options would make combos for nero FLAWLESS. Maybe switch the L1 where you tap to switch and hold to explode so combos can be quicker.
5. Add a damage modifier mode. This game is incredibly well known for combos yet the enemies can barely withstand it. In son of sparda they are a push over but in dante must die they can hardly be staggered and cant be juggled sometimes.
If they update the game with this its literally perfect and will completely breathe new life intonthe series. You can even add pvp if you want. Im down. Vergil will need to be balanced but yea.
Bonus feature for me but i want a mode with non stop fighting. Not like bloody palace. I really enjoy fighting to the sick tracks of dmc(PLEASE ADD FIRE INSIDE AS A SOUNDTRACK TO DMC5) and i love fighting to them. If we had a mode where its a never ending horde of enemies and we test how long we survive with the music blasting, combos mashing and non stop action i would be overjoyed but its not a necessity. I dont usually say this but if you made it this far. Please like this comment so it goes up and spread this word if you also want these features c:

@@Devil-Joe I agree. Im thinking they come to help Nero at the end of 6. Vergil and Dante decide to work together, like Brok and Sindri in God Of War 2018. Afterwords Vergil helps Dante be more delicate with jobs, Dante helps Vergil have more humanity.
Honestly a DMC1 remake would be a safer move for now, they could bring back Dante’s old VA (considering Capcom cut ties with Reuben) and rework the island to work better with the improved combat of the later games as well as tweak the story to fit with later retcons. Nero even after 5 is still a decently controversial character given him replacing one as iconic as Dante and it would be nice to have some last Dante content before we see him leave the series fully. Alternatively, Nero’s saga should be a soft reboot similar to the Norse Saga of GOW as it could help further differentiate him from Dante.
They could even bring back Kamiya if they tried. It would be nice to see elements of Bayonetta’s combat also mixed in to perfect the character action formula.
If they ever do remake DMC1 it would be nice if Kamiya was brought back for that Devil May Cry 1 remake sure he'd have to work around the new continuity however his direction would be much appreciated along with some quality of life Improvements to Dante's gameplay would be fun to play if I'm being real
Dante has now become the bedrock of Capcom's games. It would be an intelligent and wise move for Capcom to come up with something with Dante as main character again.
I don't want to see him playing a secondary role in DMC games after dealing with Nero's shitty deadweight nightmares.
Nero with his childish attitude always pisses off every player. And I am pretty sure that the reason why Capcom DMC games are selling so well is because of Dante and Vergil.
That's why Devil May Cry 6 should be a Dante and Vergil Co-Op game its a literally money printer for capcom
Personally, I want more from DMC. TRISH, LADY & LUCIA. make games set within the same universe, but introduce more characters outside of the Sparda family.
That could be a kick ass spin off letting us know A more about the market that Dante operates in and B we get to see different Devil Hunters in the DMC verse
