Interesting facts: The LE or Low End Ravs are cheaper to insure because it doesn’t have the push button start so it is not prone to relay theft. The LE is not also a target for thieves because they wanted the XLE, Hybrids, and Limited variants. The LE doesn’t have a sunroof so there is no clogged drains and wet headliner and interior leaks. The LE doesn’t have a power liftgate so it saves you money because the other variants have power lift gates that gets stuck with snow, severe cold, and needs replacing after 6+ years that will cost you $1500. What is great if you get the awd LE is the Active Torque AWD system with Multi terrain response. So far it is a great all rounder soft roader and has great snowy capability. The LE also has great fuel economy and doesn’t have a turbo engine.

@ Hello, I’m not sure if the 25 LE.still has the key turn ignition because that was just recently been announced. If it was my money I would get the 25 because it will be the final year of the XA50 Generation of the Rav4 and it will have the most updated tech and manufacturing process. Plus most of the defects and bugs since its inception in 2019 has been resolved.
I have 2 RAV4s. A 2021 and a 2023.. Love them. They are fairly priced and very dependable. A lot of people don't realize that the engine is port injected and direct injected . That meaning, you don't have to worry about the intake valves getting gunked up with carbon ! And when I installed running boards on them, I noticed that the internal rocker panel cavities are totally covered with a white lithium grease. I was very impressed with that. And it has a strong, dependable, 8 speed transmission. Not a junky cvt transmission .And very impressive fuel economy, with plenty of power. I'm a proud Toyota owner ..
Is the title just clickbait, or do you think the price reflects a great value? $31000 for that front wheel drive RAV4, with its key start and hub caps, is a rip-off. That vehicle should be priced around $27000, so, no, the base RAV4 is not affordable.

I've had this car for a year, love the gas usage, hate the plastic look, steering is vague, blind spot absent I love hate my car but it will last a lifetime. I'm keeping it.
I understand everyone's frustration and complains about the rav4 and a lot of Toyota's options and frankly that everything is too expensive. But let's face facts. U buy a toyota for reliable and the most reliable ones were when toyota was basic and not overdoing everything. But with all our complains and fuel emissions. They made more advance tech vehicles and overdesign some of them that they got problems. Look at all the recent new toyota a lot of their remodels all have failures or recalls. But these older rav4, 4runners, Corolla, 8th gen camry all were fine since they were design to be simple. If we learn anything. Less is more nowadays especially with tech, quite frankly in my opinion. Besides maybe awd or 4wd. Things like heated seats, sunroof, heated steering wheels, to many icons and apps on the infotainment system etc. We probably don't use most of the options in our cars while driving most of the time. More tech means more chances of failure.
I had a RAV4 Le as a rental one time and was shocked it didn't have auto headlamps in 2024, but it had auto high beams. I used to have a 95 chevy corsica and even that had auto headlamps.
Went to local Atlanta dealer to look at 2025 RAV4 hybrid LE. The dealer wants ~$46k out to door. I don't know what they are smoking but I am not paying that price for acar feel so cheap inside.
Still don't understand why Mazda doesn't offer Lane Centering (CTS) as standard in its naturally aspirated models, available only on turbos CX-5. Would still prefer RAV4 (has LTA as standard) over CX-5 for that reason. Also Blind Spot Monitoring is available on RAV4 base model for around 600 bucks if I recall correctly.

I went and priced a 2025 Equinox LT FWD, costs about $ 31500, but comes w blind spot & lane keep assist, & alloy wheels,heat wheel & seats & more. Chevy is a better value for the standard equipment Equinox LT FWD Awd is $2000 more,but it has 8 speed automatic. 😮
That’s why we bought a new CX-5 over the Rav-4. CX-5 was much less, and offered: standard AWD, heated leatherette seats, auto headlights, keyless entry w/push button start, dual climate control.

You guys think he got ripped off, I paid $33,540 + a $2000 trade in that wasn't really worth that much but I paid cash. That was the price of the car after taxes, fees, registration and tag transfer. What is going on with Toyota (and Lexus)? Have I bought the last Toyota brand car! So far, our family has owned 3 Camrys, 5 Corollas, 1 Avalon, 1 Prius Prime, and 1 Sienna. I'm planning to buy a Lexus ES300 when Toyota decided to pull the V6 350. The 4 250 that replaces the 350 is so anemic that I have to give up purchasing the Lexus. And I will not buy Camry hybrid again with the cvt transmission. Toyota should build a better (multi speed transmission in order to save gas, and not play with smaller displacement - put in a 4 cylinder engine instead of a proper V6 350. And the CVT should stay out of the picture altogether. A good 6 or 7 speed transmission is a much better solution. Toyota/Lexus, please consider. You cannot afford to lose your loyal customers.

Yep, it's gotten long in the tooth. The new Gen 5 Camry is better in every way. But more expensive to insure, and less safe than the Rav. I tried to like the Rav 4... but it drives like a tank. Didn't like the 2025 Honda CRV hybrid either, and don't trust it for longterm reliability.

As long as there are people who pay that price, it will go up. Are those people not really smart? May be. But as long as an item can be sold for the asking price - that is it, it is NOT going down
Lots of Toyota dealers out there. Just call them all til one gives you the price you want. It can happen. Lotta factors involved. Many people overpay, and many get deals / pay less.
Toyota can do so much better than this. The interior is absolutely horrendous and likely still has the same cheap materials as the ones I sat in during recent years and couldn’t get out fast enough. Gross!
You call everything "pretty darn good looking". And then everything rides "pretty darn well". Rav4 is one of the crappiest driving SUV, especially the base variant! Its a plastic tin can! It rattles like hell! The suspension is too stiff, still its not sporty or confidence inspiring. You are driving on very well carpeted roads, even a 20 year old car would drive pretty darn comfortable there! Towards the v.end when you turned back into the dealership and took that ramp slighhhhtly sharp, look how it got upset and threw you around! Its unnecessarily stiff, non compliant ride and a complete plastic rattle bin! Good drive terrain, reliable vehicle, good fit in terms of getting in & out, good outside visibility. But anything but "quality" and comfortable! Its just OK to drive and ride.

Almost any other vehicle would drive better and have a nicer interior. In this category Mitsubishi outlander and Nissan Rouge drive very well. Although Nissan's 3 CYL turbo is not a durable choice. Mitsubishi Outlander drives really well, its drive is extremely soft and smooth and top loaded variants have great looking interiors. 2024 GMC terrain interior was a bit date with thst small screen but now it has an upgraded screen in the 2025 model as well and drives very well. The leather quality in GMC terrain is way better than the shitry softex synthetic leatherette seats in rav4. Nissan Murano also drives very well. New Chevrolet Equinox is also better in ride and interior quality in my view. Toyotas are overpriced for their quality. Rav4s are so expensive in Canada and selling over MSRP. You can get a luxury Buick or Cadillac in almost the same price.
@donkedic1 I drive a Buick Envision 2024 and have recently checked the market. At least in Canada, Toyota and Honda don't make any sense for those price points. Honda being better than Toyota in drive and interior, has an engine that had issues in its initial years. There are also other reported problems in CRV like steering rack failure issues.
I enjoyed it. Car reviews aren’t limited to just super cars and trending vehicles. Regular folks like me enjoy all sorts of car reviews. And this RAV4 is an excellent vehicle by Toyota. Reliable, easy maintenance, simple, and good on MPG. This was a good video in my opinion.

I rented a basic RAV4 LE similar to this one for a week. What surprised me was I got 36 MPG.
