Being that all of my immediate family fits in my Full size truck, I find it hard to give up the Bed and its utility. However, if I had two more kids, a van like this would be a serious possibility for me.

We carry assistants inside the truck as well, so every thing fitting on the bed leaves plenty of room for everyone in long trips. We also have some land were we are building our new home, so we go off road on the truck. I wouldn’t let go of truck ever. I love full size trucks, but I would get rid of our SUV in favor of a van if our family was larger. Right now it doesn’t make much sense.
After fighting with suvs for a couple of years with kids and car seats, finally gave in and bought a 2011 Sienna XLE. I'm absolutely blown away as to how comfortable our trips have become. Smooth, absorbs crappy roads perfectly, and SO MUCH ROOM. Everything about this car makes practical sense. Will never own another SUV until the kids are out! If you have two or more car seats, PLEASE GET A VAN.
@@jigs8437 You probably have inefficient driving habits. I have a Touring XT Subaru Outback that has a turbo and it's rated 23/30, but I average 30-34 mpg per tank without interstate driving. I can sometimes get low 40s on the interstate during the summer. Get 35 mpg on the highway with a V6 Toyota Highlander. And no, you don't need to drive slow. You could probably get 50 mpg in that Sienna.
The Toyota Sienna is a great choice too! It's super spacious and perfect for families, plus it’s got that hybrid engine, which means better fuel efficiency. It’s all about comfort and convenience with features like sliding doors and a nice infotainment system.
Reason we never purchased a Sienna is that we don't like the lithium batteries under the drivers seat. Something feels really wrong about that location unless they changed it.

I got one with zero wait under MSRP from a rural dealership this year. The city dealerships around us were all quoting thousands above MSRP with long waits. If you look you can find one.

This platinum interior with the XSE exterior is my dream car LOL I wanna see if its possible to swap it with the Hybrid Max or the old Highlander V6 Hybrid engine. That would make this thing so dope Those Siennas in foreign countries are mad pimped out
What I don't get is why didn't they leave the 3.5L V6 as a more affordable base option? they still would've sold the hybrid well and kept the older gen owners ready to replace their older Sienna's with a V6 now they are moving to the Honda Odyssey with its 3.5L NA V6 - 10spd or the Kia Carnival with its 3.5L V6 - 8spd or the OPTION IF THEY WANT a Hybrid 1.6L i-4 TC 6spd. Toyota could've afford to keep the 3.5L V6 with all those I-4 sales with credits. Or maybe have a 3.5L V6 Hybrid option with a real geared transmission kind of like what they did on the Grand Highlander Hybrid MAX (HECK that exact powertrain would've worked better) with it's 2.4L I-4 TC 362HP/400lb-ft and 6spd AWD as a Premium option (PERFECT FOR LONG HIGHWAY TRIPS) then forcing customers with ANEMIC ENGINE AND A ECVT THAT DRONES HORRIBLY!!! (it gets really old hearing that ECVT on a long highway speed trips with the family to the point that the kids noticed the noise from the transmission and were complaining about it) It's a good powertrain but it isn't for everyone that's my issue give another option.
Im a dad, and I love driving our 2017 Sienna, its so comfortable, spacious, and I just have to fold down the back seats and its got enough room for some serious cargo. Forget trucks and SUVs, they only do one thing and they do it horribly. Go Sienna!!!
I never liked minivans, but after a 600 mile roadtrip with 5 adults and 1 infant and a full trunk averaging 40 mpg, I was sold. especially with this refresh that brings the tech up, I would love to buy this. maybe next gen will have a PHEV with 40-50 miles of ev range? that would be the ideal family hauler.

Sofyan, I am a big fan and have watched almost all of your videos. However, I am very dissatisfied at how you downplayed the significance of the new passenger monitoring systems. Children and pets die every year because they are accidentally left in hot cars. You say you don’t know how that can happen. Maybe you are lucky enough not to work several jobs and be sleep deprived every day….and that one day you take your child to daycare instead of your spouse and you forget and your world changes forever…..it happens and it happens to good parents. It’s not a joke and not a matter to be taken lightly. It is my understanding that Toyota is making this feature standard on all siennas of all trims. Toyota should be applauded for this. Savaggeese did a video on this a few weeks ago. Watch it.
For the platinum grade model, you can disable the ESE (Engine Sound Enhancement) by getting Carista OBD2 dongle and the app. Once you disable the ESE, the engine sound will become a lot quieter under full throttle.

waited 3 months for a 2024 platinum in Washington state used the toyota inventory website to find the one we wanted. for extended warranty, contact midwest toyota in kansas and ask for the warranty manager. paid a great price for a 10yr/100000 mile toyota platinum zero deductible warranty.

I do think this look quite nice. It will be a totally new market if Toyota give this 'so call' van some sort of performance. Such as 4 wheel steering to improve the handling(given such a long car) and also the next gen RAV4 prime engine.
I have a Honda Pilot with the entertainment package similar to this one. I always say the middle row is 1st class and the 3rd row is coach. Who cares what the 3rd row watches!!

You know if you drove the van the way most people buy a van and not floor it all the time, you may actually get close to 35 mpg even if its new. People want the room, mpg, and reliable.

We’ve only had our Sienna for a couple of weeks but I almost took it back to the dealer when we realized it does NOT have a spare tire. Not even a donut! We live in a rural area with heavy snow. I could easily get stranded on a dirt road with a flat. Not a good “feature” to exclude and the dealer never mentioned it. Seriously, selling a van without a spare is a safety issue.

Question on the interior safety feature where it notify or honk the horn when you leave someone or animal in the car. Many times, I'd leave my wife/kids in the car briefly at night or in cool weather so I can go to the store to pick up something. Or when she doesn't want to tag along in hardware store. Can I or an adult inside the car turn that feature off in that situation or there's no way of turning it off?
As a diabetic for 25 years. I can honestly say I still forget my insulin at home sometimes and that’s life or death for me. I totally sympathize with people who accidentally leave a kid in a car. That being said. If I ever leave my son in the car on accident I would fully expect to be in jail forever.

I don’t think we can ever win with black or white. The black door panel eventually gets tough sunscreen and skin stains, the white gets grey and brown stains. Though I will say our companies Hyundai tester is decent at that but the trade off is having the worst feeling plastic you could touch. Feels like gym shorts cross bred with a plastic soda bottle.

My 2023 platinum gets 42-44 mpg tank average constantly and full tank range is 640 miles. Amazing van

6" ground clearance is not enough. We scrapped the bottom on the road when we tried to get on the road. We test drove the 2024 Sienna Platinum.

Nobody tells you to buy one with vacuums and fridges inside. I got mine for 37k with awd brand new in 2021. I'm currently sitting at 137k miles.

One of the issues with vans is the low clearance from the ground. If they could lift it up higher like SUVs then it would be golden.
Did the engine turn on by itself ?
Yes, hybrid cars do that sometimes, if for example it’s a hot day and the cabin needs cooling or if the battery is low!

The international version is much better. That one for sure gets the panoramic roof as well!

Question on the interior safety feature where it notify or honk the horn when you leave someone or animal in the car. Many times, I'd leave my wife/kids in the car briefly at night or in cool weather so I can go to the store to pick up something. Or when she doesn't want to tag along in hardware store. Can I or an adult inside the car turn that feature off in that situation or there's no way of turning it off?
Also wondering this, many scenarios where that’s exactly what you want to do.
At the price point for the platinum, might as well get a Lexus TX

As a diabetic for 25 years. I can honestly say I still forget my insulin at home sometimes and that’s life or death for me. I totally sympathize with people who accidentally leave a kid in a car. That being said. If I ever leave my son in the car on accident I would fully expect to be in jail forever.

The map lights are led they are just soft yellow color. It's the rest that are not. I changed all of them to led so that's how I know.
I don’t think we can ever win with black or white. The black door panel eventually gets tough sunscreen and skin stains, the white gets grey and brown stains. Though I will say our companies Hyundai tester is decent at that but the trade off is having the worst feeling plastic you could touch. Feels like gym shorts cross bred with a plastic soda bottle.
