It's like being given a job to do, with tons of source material on how to get started, you ignore it and create something else, then telling your boss you couldn't do the job because there was no information on how to get started. Normally the boss would fire you if given that excuse, but women are immune to being fired. Maybe people will learn that you don't give someone a job cause they have a vagina, you give someone the job who has the experience and skills to do the job.

@@Lepape2060 I didn't read everything the guy you're responding to wrote but more women are in universities because of a multitude of reasons, like government incentives(gender exclusive scholarships that are not accessible to men), and the fact that men are more inclined to go into trades than women. More women in University but men still outnumber them in STEM fields because women like to major in art/women's studies/teaching and other lesser paying degrees. Also, universities just aren't very straight male friendly these days, men don't want to go into massive debt to be taught they're evil by some non binary hippie

The thing I don't get is the John Boyega character is the most stereotypically racist version of a black character as I have seen in decades. He started as a frightened janitor posing as a soldier who is obsessed with this white woman. Thhen, he is relegated to side story. He grabs a lightsaber to fight with the audience knowing he will never be a jedi. He is British, but they told him to use an American accent even though imperials usually talk with a british accent. Pretty much. Everything up to and including The Mandalorian is fine... everything beyond that point has never happened as far as I'm concerned. The Mandalorian is great because it could actually fit into the EU quite easily post ROTJ - at least at this point with regards to the story. So for me all the EU books post ROTJ are still good to go and canon.
It's strange, most of the stories they come up with in the original trilogy timeline seems to work fine, yet nothing outside that time frame fits together. They simply don't have the talent. Probably because they are all soulless morons on the writing team and don't know what creativity means.

Except that there is. There's some pretty heavy shit in the EU. Slavery, genocide, isolationism, questions about ethical scientific and medical advancements. Not mention plenty of badass women like Mara Jade. Maybe if KK had taken a proper look at the EU before throwing it in the bin she could have had her cake and eaten it too. Maybe if she hadn't been so ready to destroy what came before and been humble enough to admit to standing on the shoulders of giants rather than trying to knock all that they built down we could have had a great sequel trilogy. Sadly, we didn't. We got the first and hopefully only non-canon movie trilogy in the Star Wars universe.

You can see that later in the interview where she mentions people and writers and directors that shared their beliefs and feelings; meaning that they were looking for people that felt the same way to write stories and ideas that fit their beliefs. That's why everything has failed, they had everything to start with and discarded it only to claim later that nothing existed for them to go off of (nothing within their belief structure anyway).

There was an inexperienced Jedi (Female) who was all alone and needed help against hordes of Siths (Roles were reversed). She could not just plow through the Siths.
There's Mara Jade, who was an assassin, prolly the best the Empire had; But Luke always thwarted her, and she even fell in love with him.
Jarael is a badass and was actually a better fighter than Zayne (Who was a very shitty lightsaber duelist); But she was confused and conflicted, not to mention she was basically a slaver before and also falls in love with the main character. She had a guilt, and was not morally perfect from the get go, so not her too.
Bastilla's a no brainer, although being a prodigy, she got captured twice and during the 2nd time succumb to the Darkside after being tortured by a Sith.

George literally gave her a full storyline outline for the entire sequel trilogy when he sold off the franchise... and then she deliberately chose to THROW IT ALL AWAY! How dare she try to complain there's "no source material" after doing that, lmao.
She LITERALLY ran Star Wars movies into the ground, in just 4 years. A series i was so incredibly happy to have back in 2015. Now all future movies are cancelled, or have been turned into tv shows for Disney+. Almost all of them had production issues, because of her disagreements with the directors, including my favorite duo the now Oscar winning Lord and Miller. She took all George's feedback and ideas and scripts and threw them in the trash, thinking she knew Star Wars better than the man who created it. She snapped the EU out of existence. She sold the exclusive game rights to EA.

Not only that; the Star Wars RPG line, created by West End Games in the 80s, had huge amounts of universe background on the original trilogy. Researched from all the Lucas archives. Famously used as background information by writers of the Extended Universe over the years. Was available 30 years ago!

Funny, they have to sell their IP`s after FTC checks that half of their revenue is made up numbers and Walt Disney returns from freezer.
