So they lose a large portion of the market from the existing fanbase. However, I am of the belief that people should be making NEW stories in NEW universes rather than just trying for an easy cash grab with well known IP. I mean seriously, I groan EVERY DAMN TIME I hear that something I loved from the past is being remade because they have absolutely zero interest in actually remaking those things. They don't want to remake the game, they want to remake the success and the payout. Unfortunately for them, they have no idea what success even looks like anymore. Kotor already had great female characters - Bastila Shan and "Influence Lost" Kreia. Kreia herself is already one of the best written Star Wars characters I would say. Bastila can be rather annoying at the beginning,but she has a very involved character arc(won't spoil for anybody),but honestly,I think pretty much anyone has played or heard of Kotor already.

During the Kilo-5 trilogy she portrayed Halsey as some sort of Mengele-esque character and made Margaret Parangosky(THE DIRECTOR OF ONI FOR FOURTY-FOUR YEARS) of all people out to be a moral and sympathetic person that cared about children...despite her being one of the people to fund and oversee the Spartan 2 project from before Halsey was even brought and who even helped fund and set up the Spartan 3 project behind closed doors. I liked her Commando novels a lot when I was younger so I won't lie and say Karen Traviss is some talentless hack (like Sam Maggs) but her writing is certainly...influenced.

I don't think that's going to be far from the truth and I hate it. Carth is my favorite character from this game, when I played through with a female character I went light side because I couldn't bring myself to upset the guy lol.
What she fails to get is that there is a difference between being born with a natural strong affinity to something, and actually being TRAINED to use it properly. Her argument that people don't like Rey because "strong woman bad" falls apart with how much fans love Leia. As well as other well loved female characters, Ahsoka, Hera, Mara Jade, Mission Vao, etc.

He logged hundreds of hours. When the anime begins it's at the launch of the official release so of course he is that strong, it makes sense. Rey had zero training and nothing like what kirito had (the ai assist) to help her along.

If I create a character in a game, and transfer all the files of the original game including player data into a second game (many mmos now store player data within the engine through the sql server as an archive). Not knowing exactly how the netcode of SAO and ALO ran, we can assume it to be similar for practical purposes so yes, the same SQL server would be called by the netcode which would be the same and player data would have been converted if necessary with minimal loss.

Combat also sucks and need a complete overhaul. But to answer the writer question........they did an interview with IGN. They were asked if this means revans canon now. The dev hinted that this could potentially make revan and the old republic canon but in order to keep it in lime with the canon of that time and the new eras established by the comics and books they have to change a few things. This was the interview done after the reveal of the trailer. Lile a day after I think.

Freedom Nadd, the anchient sith, the mandalorian wars, Exar Kun. You can’t just adapt Revan into a story because there were years of lore explaining why the mandalorians attacked and his fall.

The Mandalorian established that the mandalorian wars happened at some point. The new trilogy of movies also left many Easter eggs to revan and those that followed him. The mass shadow generator was hinted at it Clone Wars. You don't need to have it to tell KOTOR tho. You can tell the main story of revan without some of it. Freedom Nadd also would most likely need to be rewritten cause of the comics establishing certain people that came before and events. Lastly the combat is bad for today's standards. Back then it was good. But today it is garbage and doesn't hold up. Honestly much of KOTOR aside from the story doesn't hold up today and makes it difficult to play all the way through

I find it entertaining that they have to write themselves into strong roles that 99.9% of women would never find themselves in. What I mean is, they can only survive in fantasy. I was in the service for 13 years, and not once did I ever meet a female who was SF/SAS caliber. Thats the sort of attitude and physical prowess that Bond’s character has. You have to be strong willed, but also strong in body, and able to problem solve. If you ever meet a dude in special operations he’s usually pretty intelligent and fairly strong. That’s sort of why I don’t buy that “you can will your way through anything”, because if you aren’t physically up to par….your body will break down much sooner, and subsequently your will. But in the fantasy world, Mary Sue can bypass all of that lol.
Bastila was... a complex character. And you could tease the everloving shit out of her and it was great. We all know that Bastila and Carth are going to get fucking destroyed. But we'll get some supremely shitty catgirl jedi grillpower romance to make up for it.
The only thing that was exceptional about Anakin before he received any training was that he was a good pilot, which isn't really a force skill. He was exceptional because he was the only known human who could pilot pods, Qui-gonn saying that his connection to the force gave him quick reflexes. But really his reflexes were only as good as the natural reflexes of all these different alien pilots since none of them were force sensitive. And even after he's received training he looses the battle against count dooku in episode 2 then looses against Obi-wan in episode 3. Meanwhile Kylo-Ren didn't have a single win, while Rey never lost.

Rey never trained in any of the 15 lightsaber forms while Kylo was most likely an expert in them by being trained by Luke who was a Jedi grandmaster. Rey should of had lost.

This game is one of the things that got me through quarantine, I love it, it's one of my favourite games from all my life, I have replayed it idk how many times, and to watch it be in this situation, controlled by a braindead person who straight up hates the people that don't think like her, by a person who is so blinded by her beliefs that goes to the extent to ruin a classic just to impose her way of thiught, that just ruins me, I just want to break something, knowing that she can do whatever she wants to the game just makes me angry honestly, and I admit that it's a little bit of an overreaction, but that game has helped me through the last years, so I really hope she doesn't screw it up in sake of "feminism".

So they lose a large portion of the market from the existing fanbase. However, I am of the belief that people should be making NEW stories in NEW universes rather than just trying for an easy cash grab with well known IP. I mean seriously, I groan EVERY DAMN TIME I hear that something I loved from the past is being remade because they have absolutely zero interest in actually remaking those things. During the Kilo-5 trilogy she portrayed Halsey as some sort of Mengele-esque character and made Margaret Parangosky(THE DIRECTOR OF ONI FOR FOURTY-FOUR YEARS) of all people out to be a moral and sympathetic person that cared about children...despite her being one of the people to fund and oversee the Spartan 2 project from before Halsey was even brought and who even helped fund and set up the Spartan 3 project behind closed doors.
I liked her Commando novels a lot when I was younger so I won't lie and say Karen Traviss is some talentless hack (like Sam Maggs) but her writing is certainly...influenced.

If I create a character in a game, and transfer all the files of the original game including player data into a second game (many mmos now store player data within the engine through the sql server as an archive). Not knowing exactly how the netcode of SAO and ALO ran, we can assume it to be similar for practical purposes so yes, the same SQL server would be called by the netcode which would be the same and player data would have been converted if necessary with minimal loss.

Combat also sucks and need a complete overhaul. But to answer the writer question........they did an interview with IGN. They were asked if this means revans canon now. The dev hinted that this could potentially make revan and the old republic canon but in order to keep it in lime with the canon of that time and the new eras established by the comics and books they have to change a few things. This was the interview done after the reveal of the trailer. Lile a day after I think.

The Mandalorian established that the mandalorian wars happened at some point. The new trilogy of movies also left many Easter eggs to revan and those that followed him. You don't need to have it to tell KOTOR tho. You can tell the main story of revan without some of it. Freedom Nadd also would most likely need to be rewritten cause of the comics establishing certain people that came before and events.
Lastly the combat is bad for today's standards. Back then it was good. But today it is garbage and doesn't hold up. Honestly much of KOTOR aside from the story doesn't hold up today and makes it difficult to play all the way through

You have to be strong willed, but also strong in body, and able to problem solve. If you ever meet a dude in special operations he’s usually pretty intelligent and fairly strong. That’s sort of why I don’t buy that “you can will your way through anything”, because if you aren’t physically up to par….your body will break down much sooner, and subsequently your will.

The only thing that was exceptional about Anakin before he received any training was that he was a good pilot, which isn't really a force skill. He was exceptional because he was the only known human who could pilot pods, Qui-gonn saying that his connection to the force gave him quick reflexes. But really his reflexes were only as good as the natural reflexes of all these different alien pilots since none of them were force sensitive. And even after he's received training he looses the battle against count dooku in episode 2 then looses against Obi-wan in episode 3. Meanwhile Kylo-Ren didn't have a single win, while Rey never lost.

I long for 2003. I was entering adulthood, my dad was still alive, and there was KOTOR, which I then played a year later when my dad died. Life wasn't perfect, but it was bearable, because there were people producing intelligent entertainment for everybody. Nowdays? These cowards rather take their hatred and aggression out on helpless citizens because they are too weak and pathetic to fight who really makes the decisions. On top of that, our education system is being manipulated to turn us against each other as well, as it has always been. There was a point in time, late 80's, 90's, where no one gave a damn about the color of a person. You had the whitest of white guys and girls watching shows like Family Matters, Fresh Prince, In Living Color. I know, because I watched them too and loved them. So what changed? People manipulated us to go back to our old ways and hate each other. Because while we are busy fighting each other, the ones ruling our lives can get away with whatever they want with little to no oversight. Make no mistake... these situations we see today are highly politicized because the hatred is backed by the politicians who are also backed by social media. It won't change until the money stops flowing or a revolution comes.

Looks like another sink hole for disney's money to vanish. No one buys their new stuff. No one watched the movie after Force Awakens, no one bought the DVD, no one plays their crappy games. Not by comparison to what starwars games used to get. Swtor is dead. And when I tried to play galactic assault when I tried EA pass on the new battlefronts it was so hard to get a game going. Basicly the only players left for main starwars stuff are the simps and shills.
