Its cool that you couls keep so much control on your higher posture. not that i know a lot about wrestling, but its usually way lower, like blue's. Locking your legs with theirs looks like a very good defense in this situation, and combines neately into counterattacks.
Good matches. Good judo. Good wrestling
    Hats off

I did Judo as a pre-teen and did wrestling in high school. The other beginning wrestlers hated me. However, most wrestlers are insanely hard to throw, and Judo and wrestling rulesets are at odds. In Judo, one good throw and the match is over. In wrestling it's just a couple of points and our opponent often gets them back with the reversals. Thus, in wrestling, big throws are pointless although fun as wrestlers don't typically practice counters to them, don't breakfall, and often end up like blue... stunned and winded.
Knowing wrestling helped in Judo. Stamina, body positioning, different variations of 'cheap' takedowns, strength, conditioning, etc. However, by 2000 a number of Judo rules changes made defensive wrestling stances and groundwork limited to the point wrestling was far less of an advantage. Still, at the club, guys with wrestling experience were extremely hard to setup for throws.

that's what I was thinking at just a few minutes in. It looked like the kid in blue was wrestling against three people, a good wrestler with some judo and two refs who obviously had their minds made up before the match.

Kid in blue is purposely (imo) backing up and going out of bounds time and time again. The only thing on his mind is that he’s not wanting to get thrown again. Zero attack, only backing up repeatedly. WEAK
