- How to fix the Xbox series x/s mic issue . This issue is a fix for when you can hear others but they can’t hear you. Any other issue will probs be related to your headphones/controller.
****The Xbox series x/s does not support all non gaming headsets. So pls don’t expect your audio headsets to work with Xbox new
Gen console. ***
This fix is for gaming headset only . It will not fix any problems relating to audio fix for game, ( each game has its own audio settings which could be at fault). To make sure it’s your audio settings and not game settings join or create a Xbox party and see if others can hear you.

hey guys, i just bought xbox series x and I'm having a mic issue while streaming. Anyway to fix that? I stream through remote play via xbox app on my laptop. I have a headset with mic, but the mic is not working! Please please help!

My issue was audio worked but no Mic on my astro A50 gen2
once i changed mic to stereo uncompressed it worked perfectly!

I just bought cod vanguard and in the top left it says microphone muted and it won’t let me talk I’ve messed with voice chat my mic and it still won’t work

@@tyrillcelestine7049 your problem may be game related rather than Xbox related . Have u tried a Xbox reset? Unplug Xbox and leave turned off for 30 mins . Then plug back on

I don’t think that’s possible on Xbox . I believe that only works on pc using the synapse tab. If you not sure how to use synapse check your owners Manuel

Go in to the game audio settings and see if there is an option to turn your mic up. For example in Wz there’s is a option called mic volume .

I cant do anything when I click in audio & music. It is greyed out and says on the top “Use your headset or other device to change volume.” How do I fix this?
Usually that’s cuss your headset does not support that function or it has its own built in controls on the headset or controller you are using .

Ok first you need to check if Xbox party chat works . If. So then it’s the game you playing . Visit the game settings and check things there . If all that is correct then it’s your headset faulty or a simple bug and your console or game needs a reset

Yea that has the command centre software which does the same thing so it will be greyed on Xbox, plus it has controls on the side of headset also

Hey I have a Sony headset stereo headset it has a microphone however I can’t get it to work. Are you using a gaming headset?
Yes I am using a gaming headset. Called lucid sounds ls20. Old gen gaming headset but works fine on new gen. however not all old gen or stereo headsets will work on series x that’s because they are coded different for audio
My mic works( I can hear and talk ) in private party and on war zone but when I go to multiplayer in the same party (can’t hear can’t talk) I did all three just not working
Warzone is very buggy so this is not an Xbox fault. You only have 2 options here . 1 go through all Warzone and mw2 settings and check if u missed something . 2. Uninstall all game files and reinstall as this will change everything back to default and fix insure . Good luck bro 👊🏽

Tried all of this but no luck. Series x, changed all the settings, using bose QC3 via 3.5 audio. Can hear audio fine but no mice at all. Any help?

Yeah if all that does not work only option is controller. Unless its a specific game. Then you need to check settings in-game also.
When I go into the general volume and audio output, it doesn’t give me the same screen as yours does, nothing about chat mixer etc. any idea why as I still can’t get mine working
That’s strange it should be there. But don’t worry try this fix. Disconnect any Ethernet or Wi-Fi from Xbox . Hold down power button on Xbox till it shuts down. Unplug Xbox and wait 30mins . Then reconnect all connections and power back up. That usually reset all audio settings to default . ( this is what Xbox makes u do if you call their support )

So weird thing here audio works good in party chat, but not in game chat sometimes per example I'll be in apex main menu with other console friends and the audio will work okay there but the second we go in game it shuts it off need some tips
That’s not your Xbox then. That’s apex audio settings. Try resetting in game audio settings or go the old fashion way and uninstall and reinstall

Click switch to game chat then back to party chat. If that don’t fix it. You need hold power button on Xbox for 30secs then unplug ALL wires from Xbox and wait 30 mins . This reset audio settings .

Ok so I defo know your headset does not work wireless via Xbox. So if you have usb plugged in remove it. I can only work via jack . Now the only thing I can think off regarding it not working fully is either it’s faulty or u need to update controller . Try that let me know. I’ll do some more research and get back to u

That’s not your Xbox that is mw2 bug. But I know how to fix that also. Go to social while on mw2 in top corner while u see party . U can click r2 to disconnect from party and reconnect . That usually fixes their bug . If not turn game off complete and reset it.

Yo mate I can’t even change the volume mixer or monitoring thinks what should I do
Unplug the mic and try cleaning or blowing entrance if it does not work try another headset . That mixer only appears when a compatible mic is plugged in. And unfortunately not all mics are compatible with the new Xbox . Hence y some mics would say Xbox one supported but not series x/s , this is because the coding used for new gen is different . (Apparently )

If you mean the middle button settings where u can turn ur mic off and on. That only appears when a compatible headset is plugged in. So either ur headset not working or not supported. Try unplugging it and putting it back in
