So ive watched so many videos and did all they suggested. Today i was messing on the setti gs and seen open mic sensitivity. It was at 100% I turned it down a couple levels and it works. I have it set to 50 now.

also very important, check if your headset is connected with an aux cable with a 3 pole and not a 2 pole, because then it will only be supporting the hearing and not the mic

Guess what… It still does not work. It works fine on my pc but just specifically not on my xbox. When in a party an echo can be heard from my mic though but I just can not talk.
@@Wolf-iu7rs i made sure to have all of my information backed up onto a hard drive first of all and then i had to go into my xbox settings and factory reset my xbox (wiped everything off of it) and essentially i had to set up my xbox as a new system. Logged back into my xbox live account and redownloaded everything.. it brought back my mic capabilities so now my friends can hear me talking but it still hasn’t fixed the problem that i can’t hear game sound. I am waiting for a new base station for my astro a50’s to come in and hopefully that fixes the lack of game sound feedback in my headset.

I have left it before multiple times in this exact same way even leaving it overnight in some cases and this has never happened before. I’m lost as to what happened and nothing will fix it. I’ve done everything varying from hard resetting my console multiple times to trying to plug it into pc and wipe and reset the drivers of the headset itself but nothing works so I can’t understand why it’s failing to read my mic

None of these worked. I can hear others in party chat or game chat, but no one can hear me. I can't hear myself when I turn up monitoring. I've tried power cycling, restarting, using different headsets, I've checked all headsets on PC and they were perfectly. I've tried using other controllers, I've gone through all the settings. I factory reset the Xbox, which is what Microsoft recommends. None of it works. - My Xbox also keeps randomly disconnecting itself from the internet now for some reason, won't stay connected. Called my internet provider, they said it's not them.

What was going on was my old astro headset still had the USB connected to the back of my Xbox. My Xbox, series x, doesn't have the optic connection like on the Xbox one x. After I unplugged it and updated my controller it started working again.
