  • Change the way we pay in the future with Samsung’s Biometric Card IC.
    An innovative payment card technology called "biometric card" offers cardholders a secure and convenient way to authenticate themselves at the point of sale (POS) by using their fingerprint instead of a personal identification number (PIN) or signature.
    Samsung’s Biometric Card IC S3B512C combines a fingerprint sensor, Secure Element, and Secure Processor in a single chip, creating a solution with enhanced security and performance. Enabled by Samsung’s proprietary fingerprint authentication algorithm and anti-spoofing technology, the first-of-its-kind all-in-one biometric security solution paves the way for more efficient and affordable biometric card designs in the future.

    As a designer, why the biometric sensor and the golden plate doesn't middle-aligned?

    • @alexyounghunlee
      @alexyounghunlee ปีที่แล้ว

      Faceplate (golden plate) needs to meet ISO specification and its location is determined by international standard in order to work on every readers, check your cards all of them will be slightly above centre line. Location of fingerprint sensor is to avoid centerline as being at center can be vulnerable with bending.

    • @ahmedsamet5871

       @alexyounghunlee then they should have aligned the fingerprint sensor slightly to align with the chip , it irritates me too as designer with OCD

      @alexyounghunlee ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ahmedsamet5871 you can send them your CV haha, but FP sensor is bigger and if they align it with faceplace, PCB circuit may interfere with magnetic stripe behind and no electronic components sould be beneath mag stripe.
