You're absolutely right! Excellent tip, details like that are easily overlooked and could result in a noticeable issue (case by case, of course). Thankfully, I didn't have a vibration issue on that. Thank you!
No problem! I hope this helped. I understand it was a lengthy video, but it's the entire process. Thank you for watching! Any further questions feel free to reach out
Thanks for recording this. I notice that the carrier bearing on my edge is going. I didn’t check the u joints as I haven’t taken the whole driveshaft out. Have you found this to be a good repair with lasting benefits since you did it? Thanks
@@Ron_5219 it's upside DOWN. turn it 180 degrees! I want to do the same repair soon but I am figuring out slightly professional way than u did. I think I am going to use an induction heater and an air hammer to separate driveshaft and then torch to take the bearing off. Still think how to press the new bearing on to avoid a u-joint damage. I am a professional mechanic, btw.
I just reviewed the video, I now understand you meant backward and not "upside-down." As far as the reinstall process went, it was effortless and without ANY struggles. I do appreciate the initial statement, although it came off kinda condescending. As far as the bearing being installed backward, I see no issue with the installation. The bearing is essentially able to fully function either way and lines up center however way it's installed. The 2 shafts met in the middle, and I assure you it is installed just fine. I appreciate your professionalism.
Here you go! Thank you for the question! Hope this helps. Please feel free to ask me for anything. Link: www.1aauto.com/front-driver-and-passenger-side-2-piece-wheel-bearing-set-trq-bha54467/i/1ashs00558/1449439/2011 Product sku on 1Aauto.com: TRQ BHA54467
Great video, but if I can add one thing. Mark both halves of the shaft so that when you reassemble it, you don't risk it being out of balance.

Absolutely! There have been 0 issues to date. Thank you for the feedback and support!
Thanks. I don't have the shop or tools, so my Ford is going into the dealer's shop for this later this week. How long did you take to complete?
Definitely a days worth of labor (for my situation). I'm sure a shop could probably accelerate the job by a few hrs with proper equipment.
You do know you put that bearing in upside-down....I can imagine how that worked out
This is an interesting comment. Elaborate please

They do not make a replacement hanger bearing for original oem parts have to buy a whole new drives haft!!
Correct, as far as OEM goes. I buy all my "OEM" quality replacements on 1Aauto.com. Very good website, and extremely great pricing.
