- It’s early Saturday morning and I’m meeting up with Eric in his Porsche 911 Carrera 991.2 and Steven in his Mazda Miata NC for some spirited driving. This video is us doing uphill and downhill runs on one of my favorite local roads.

I think it was "shift lock". Where you mess up on the throttle blip and don't match the RPMs well before letting go of the clutch, so you get a sudden jerk slow down which can cause the backend to step out.

Beautiful hatch my friend. I coincidently had the very same one. It was a white 91 ef hatch that I B swapped back in 2000. I regret ever parting with it. Was by far one of my favorite builds throughout the years. Awesome video new sub from me!

@trol7977 the thing about these old Honda models is that once you start messing with them you'll see they're very simple cars to work on
What exhaust is that? I want to say Buddy Club, maybe a Spec 3? It sounds just *slightly* more muffled than my best friend's old Spec 2.

Actually, it's a custom setup. 2.5" piping with matching untra quite high-low muffler and a matching 2.5" resonator and 3" from the lower control arm to the back

you must be in the upper part of NC? I'm right on the border of SC and NC, and most interstates are twistier than my local roads. Closest hairpin is at Carolina motorsports park.
Sadly not the case, I'm on the west coast in Washington State. I use to live in Florida and one of the main reasons I moved here was for awesome roads like this.

What trans do you have sounds like an LS? My favorite chassis SI EF9. I built one in hawaii ls-v with b16 trans that was over 10yrs ago i live washington state now looking for another one
It’s a JDM b16a2 tranny from the eg chassis. It has the factory lsd in it. If you’re looking for another one I’ve seen a few on Facebook marketplace in the Tacoma area.

Im trying to get my IS300 up and going again but people want me to give them a hand job just for a stock JZ engine 🤣🤣🤣 if i ever get my Lexus up and going id love to do a touge run with you. The motor im keeping stock, but my suspension is nothing to fxck with. BC coilovers with parts from a company called FIGS Engineering everything that can be adjusted in my suspension came from them. Its kind of like the ae86 from initial d almost stock engine with the shit load of suspension goodies

Honestly it depends on the corners I'm at. It ranges from 2nd gear to 4th abo e 5500 rpm most times. Tires are 205/50r15 Federal 595 RS-RR

In my daily life I'm a very calm person, but when I drive my civic I transform into an agressive driver. I dont know if is the Vtec or the short gear scaling, but my car demands me to drive like this. Do you have a similar feeling?
I think it's the emotional connection with this old car that makes me drive it the way I do! I have other cars that in my opinion, drive better than my civic, however when I'm driving my civic none of that logic matters. When the vtec engages I feel like a switch goes off in my head and sends the signal to my heart and I transform into "G-man the wheel man" and it consumes me!
