992 base is an understated flex. It makes sense to have it, especially in speed yellow. Sometimes I will see one ripping in the snow during our Canadian winters and have nothing but respect for the driver LOL

Base spec is all you ever need. Sometimes less is more...I would have got one with no options at all😊
Need sport chrono and not the yellow interior bits.
Lower suspension is a MUST, leather also, but anything else is fine.
WAY behind on my youtube watching, but yours are always at the top of the list! My take: I would compare the "cheap" Porsche to what else you could get in that price range more than what higher spec P cars cost. For the $110 your buddy spent, M4 Comp X-drive comes to mind. GT, not sports car, but much faster, much more luxurious interior and will hold its own on a track. Few bucks more, F-Type--faster, better looking and now a classic. Still and all, if you must have a Porsche, a lot to be said for it. Personally, I would stretch to the 2 S. GTS a bridge too far. Great vid, Mick! and thought provoking.

This car has more like 410hp based on Dyno tests I’ve seen.
More than enough power for most people.
And very tune-able, as you said.
It feels like every bit that power. What a machine for the money.
I think just a tune will get you 500 hp . You have to get the T or S to get the limited slip rear end ... or manual .

I would get a 2022 718 Spyder all day over this car way more exotic . I would also get a ZO6 over this car they have the same price for a 2023 at MSRP or a 2024 .

Because 911 is Porsche's flagship model.The average Porsche buyer aspires for a 911 and not a boxter (even though it may arguably be more fun to drive than the 911 and cheaper)
