The way the line "Immortal is more than a name!" leads into that guitar solo is absolutely amazing.

Olly -- As you said, this band is amaze-balls! Brittney, methinks, has outdone herself with this song! Abyss is fast taking the place of my favorite UtA tracks, among them being Awakening, Matriarch, The Coward's Way, Frozen Steel, Queen of the Reich, Apex, and Time Stands Still.
And if this song is any indication, the _entire freaking album_ will be even more epic than Apex, something I did not think possible! Besides: What other band on Earth could create a rift in space-time, _get sucked through it,_ then live to tell the tale? Lol
And to give you and your subs a little info: This album drops August 21, 2020 -- which I heard from none other than the General of Metalandia herself, Brittney Slayes! So it is coming -- in just over a month! 🔥🤘🔥🤘🔥❤❤❤
Note: Olly! Unleash the Archers just released _another_ single from Abyss (it's also the album name as well, so no confusion, lol): Soulbound! It came out only a few days ago!
Holy crap! That scream to start was incredible! I knew Brittney could scream good, but that was just killer! I don't think I've ever heard her go that high before. The song in a top-notch ripper too, full of energy.They straddle the line between sounding old school and modern...it's a very good balance to my ears. The new album will be great if this is any indication. Cheers!

Also, that synth sound is so 80's! I like it.
For me, it has a "Final Countdown" feel to it, in the beginning.
According to Brittany ...the new album is a continuation of the story from the last album Apex. So the last album ended with the Immortal hero going into a deep sleep in the mountains .... and this song (and album) picks up sometime in the future where the Immortal wakes up in a spaceship and is trying to get a grip on what’s going on.... sounds like a very cool story/concept ... I need to go back and listen to Apex now so I can be ready for the new one.

The albums take on a completely new meaning when you start to piece together the connections between the story and the songs themselves. The amount of sheer progress they achieved in between Time Stands Still and Apex is unbelievable. If this is their peak then I’m alright with that.
Noticed - there is no bass player in the vid. 2 guitarists, drummer and singer. So, I wonder - whats the current situation with their bassist? They used an "outisde" musician for hire while recording this? Anyway - excellent song, excellent single and interesting visual concept and storyline. Will be delighted to look the whole album through.
They don't have a permanent bass player. Ever since Nikko Whitworth (Apex) left, they have been using touring bassists and a friend of theirs played bass on this album.
