I must have watched the video ten times by now, and it just gets better each time. I already have the album on pre-order. This is a continuation of the story from the last album APEX. The bassist left the band, and I think they will be takung time to replace him, as there's no hurry to tour. Your enthusiasm really lifts me. It's a pleasure to see young girls getting into good metal instead of throwaway commercial pop. Yeah - I sound like your parents (probably)! 😋

PageMonster it's new for me that the bassist left the band. So, in my case they need to fill between a melodeath bassist to continue as their previous albums or at least a power one to fit the melodies and symphonicity into the band.

@@hugopazmino6342 Nick Miller has been their session/touring bassist since Nikko left after Apex, but to this point they've said they are fine with not finding a permanent bassist. (that may change obviously)
I assume Kick is the one who helped record this album (just an assumption) and there are live videos where you can see him playing with the band on tour before everything was shut down. Example: th-cam.com/video/ip9arlYkw1k/w-d-xo.html (also, during that concert they play Soulbound, another of the songs from 'Abyss')

Each song on that album is a chapter in the story... Abyss (August 2020) is the continuation of the story. Abyss (the song) is the second "Awakening" of the main character The Immortal... You need to check it out!!!

As for my boy Mr. RnR, Brittney Slayes _herself_ actually was in his reaction video! And Brittney is so down-to-earth, I sincerely hope you three could do a reaction video with Brittney someday, because that would be awesome and b-e-a-utiful!

I hope you girls listen to whole album Apex and read the lyrics. It tells a story of an immortal being that is summoned to do the bidding of different masters through out ages, the last one being the Matriarch, an evil ruler who uses her sons blood to sustain her own youth. Awakening is the first track because it describes the Immortal hearing the summon. At the end of the album, the Immortal returns to its mountain, Apex, and goes back to rest. This Album, Abyss, is about the Immortal waking up and Apex is gone and someone else has woken it to do its bidding, but this time Immortal doesn't seem to have a guide like it normally would. It finds it is free to explore, at least for now.

I have a few groups that I could reccommend. One that I recently ran across it the absolutely fantastic Ningen Isu. They have actually have been around since '87 but they are only now breaking out of Japan.
A lot of people have been doing Heartless Scat by them--a great song--but I think you may like "The Color Out of Space". (A reference to a HP Lovecraft story.) Hit the captions if you want translated lyrics.

Some Unleash the Archers news for you... From a recent interview with Brittany Slayes...
- Britteny said the band were supposed to crawl out of a garbage dumpster at the end of the "Abyss" video. However they couldn't get a "clean/safe" one in time for the video.
- There should be 3 more videos from the "Abyss" album...
- Their bass player Nikko left the band in 2018... They will only use studio musicians for bass recording now. They also have a permanent touring bassist...
- The next video should be VERY SOON... Possibly later this week July 16/17.
