  • @lienkalka
    @lienkalka 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Ahoj Peti,
    Love your channel, well done.
    Question:
Would your recomend Vitamix or a food processor?
I would use it mainly for deserts. Mixing Dates with almond butter.
    And request no2:
Can you make Vegan Millionaire's square, please?
I have a receipt from twins from a Happy Pear.
I do it in the blender. I need to use a lot of water. And the date paste is almost like a pudding. Not good.
So I like to get Vitamix or food processor mainly for this reason.
Looking for recommendations from you. Thank you, Lenka

I made this recipe and I just wanted to give some feedback:
The base is great, but I personally felt like 2 cups of nuts was more appropriate and balanced. But even with less it's still a great raw brownie base.
However, the topping was rather fatty tasting, just like melting oil in your mouth. Because of the 1/2 cup of coconut oil, it was faaar too rich. Sadly, I ended up having to throw them in the garbage because I eat plant-based and these were actually making me sick to my stomach - even just a small square!
So, you might want to re-visit this recipe and perhaps make the topping much less fattening. I get that keto folks like their coconut oil but this was just overkill. And coming from you, this kinda surprised me to be honest.

I make these on a regular basis My Bulk choice over coconut which I use to use is Hemp Hearts instead as I don't like this recipe to be over coconutty so I switch up ingredients from time to time.
Its easy & I dont feel guilty for eating this. I found also that the use of coconut oil can lend an acidic aftertaste which doesn't sit well with me so I usually use less than the recipe calls for. Thanks for the video :)
Today I am making this with slivered almonds hemp hearts Pumpkin seed & cashews & Dates.

Thank you for the wonderful work you do, you are amazing. I really appreciate how you explain the purpose of each ingredient and how they affect the final product. You mentioned that we can sub nut butter for the nuts; is it in equal amounts? And we still add the liquid sweetener to the nut butter right?
Thank you again, always look forward to seeing what you come up with :) you are one of the few solid resources i have found for vegan and gluten-free recipes. I don’t avoid gluten but am very interested in baked goods that are vegan and gluten free. Would be great if you could do a quiche in the future, with a flaky crust (without vegan butter) and filling without tofu.
