Right. Its about the results you want. I'm 30 plus years raw vegan, last 15 years 80/10/10. Its the best you can do. I can out do myself at age 20 in every way, and I'm 70 years old. You do not age in the conventional sense.

I'd say that the diet would be a simulation in times. Now every variation is exponentially representative of variety.

Great video. 80/10/10 changed my life as well. One question, aren’t most people who are just eating fat and protein actually in gluconeogenesis versus actual ketosis?

I’d suggest that both are at play. -D

How could you explain that we survived and devlop as a species the times before agricultural revolution, when the 90% of diet was meat and animal fat? I am not trying to argue which diet is better, but I am saying that we are extremaly flexible in the context of diet. I have tested high carb, now I am on keto and I feel much better - body performance and health. So live and let live - freedom of choice

My question is if fasting has been used to fight cancer tumor growth and fasting induces ketosis which shuts down glucose as fuel to the tumor then should cancer patients/survivors consider the keto diet for life to control glucose? I am assuming you agree cancer is a metabolic disease and not due to mutated genes. Thanks

Over and over, keto, which was designed to be a short term intervention for seizures, has been proven to invariably fail as a long term approach. Read the 801010 diet. -Dr. D

@@FoodnSport Nonsense, I've been keto for almost 2 years and I've never felt better. My energy levels are steady all day long, I can do prolonged fasts without hunger (48h fasts every week) and my mental clarity has increased dramatically. Also my LDL-C levels and blood pressure are lower compared to when I was a low fat vegetarian.
(I must add most of my fat is monounsaturated from olive oil and I eat a good amoung of leafy greens, cruciferous, mushrooms, etc on a daily basis)
Perhaps you could share the many instances in which the ketogenic diet has failed on a long term approach? I'd be surprised if you did since there aren't many long term studies on keto.

@@johnambrose1995 still feeling great, but I've recently changed my mind on keto since I'm becoming more physically fit, and I'm doing cycles of keto and cycles of some carbs (as well as fasting obv)
Keto's main disadvantage is that it's not great for sustained energy bursts
Carb based diet's main disadvantage is that it doesn't provide a mental performance that's even close to what you experience when doing keto or fasting.

    • @AlbertoAntonioLinaresLopez

@@johnambrose1995 yea, same, I get a burst of mental energy when I do simple sugars like fruits, but it only lasts for about 30 minutes to 1 hour, then I get low blood sugar and my mood changes sharply. My brain definitely hates simple sugars. I do better on complex carbs like potatoes or legumes (when I do eat carbs).
I would imagine you have to eat many times a day in order to keep a stable blood glucose if you rely on simple sugars. I never eat more than twice a day, most days eat only once. I wouldn't consider a primarily simple sugar diet optimal, insulin is an aging/growth signal, but you also wanna signal ampk which is the autophagy/rejuvenation mechanism, which can only be signalled by keto or fasting. In your case, it seems you have never truly adapted to burning fat, which means your fast would probably need to be an extended fast (24-48h) in order to get significant ketosis or autophagy.

Has anyone cured type 1 diabetes with raw Food? If so what do they need to eat? I hear low sugar fruit but I see a ton of people getting parasites out with juices..I know I have tons of parasites in me.. I'm half cured by taking mms but since I went vegan the mms is not working anymore. I just started the raw food. Please help.

Great Video, Doc! You always make so much sense to me. However, could you please address nasty gut issues, and how to specifically address them on 811?
Gut issues are basically because of inflammation, and an out of balance microbiome. If healing is something that a body can do, on a vegan diet, please address why I never got better after 12 plus years.
Adding Eggs and Kiefer "seems" like it made my health turn around, on some level. Please just try to answer this generic question.
Just to give you a background I had colitis. I had diarrhea for 15 plus years, until I added those products, mentioned above.

These conditions need a specific diet protocol for at least a few months to heal the gut, a diet based on soluble soft fibers foods (like soft bananas, papayas, peeled pears and similar fruits, some well cooked vegetables) excluding all nuts/seeds/grains/legumes/herbs/spices/raw vegetables and even peels of fruits which are all more or less irritating on the gut mucosa.
You can also watch high carb health channel on this topic and their testimonies.

@@Julottt Hey Julot, I lived that lifestyle for many years. I was one of Dave Klein's clients for many years. Being raw certainly had it's benefits, but my gut never improved. I had diarrhea for over 15 years. I could never eat a full meal of fruit without what we call melon belly.
I worked with Dave and followed what he said, for many years, but I never fully healed. I was even coaching people for him. He would contact me from time to time to let me know that he gave my number to someone that wanted help. I tell you that, because I'm not uneducated on how to eat a raw fruit based diet.
I miss it so much, and it makes so much sense to me. I have met others through Dave that have never recovered. I was just reaching out to Doug to see, if he has ever worked with someone that had trouble like mine.
I was asking him to put it out there on video, because I'm not the only one who has wicked, stubborn gut issues. I totally get it, if he has no idea how to help. I didn't want to spend up to 300 dollars, or more to talk with him, just to say that he can't help. I'm sure that you can get the desperation that I feel for real answers, if there are any.
      Much Love,
      Bill 💙

@@williamuhl252 Yeay but sometimes, you cant heal this condition on a 100% raw diet because thats too much fibers, may need some softer cooked foods.
Long water fasting should be your next step with Loren Lockman or Doug.

women over 50 should not stay on 80/10/10. Need far more greens, proteins, and fats. All raw vegan. Lower the dates, lower the bananas, too many carbs wreck our bodies over 50. Don't debate me people, I'm not interested. I know what works. Y'all do you.

Actually ketones is what we and every other animal uses after the body is fueled even with carbs. They burn cleaner than carbs, not the either way around. The brain prefers ketones (see the mental issues going away by taking away sugar not the vicersa 😂). The fruits have you high and alcoholic if you are damaged enough 😊 Not fats and proteins from animals we have always ate as a species... It seems you still support the same limited view (probably to keep selling your book) that has almost everything upsidedown 😂 Sugar is expensive to make by plants and it's to attract creatures to do its bidding. Sugar is even more addictive than cocaine ... Americans are not getting fat on meat and keto but processed carbs amd fats. All that is false information??? You offer no evidence just personal opinion then postulate your approach is better just because the nutritional myths you still religiously believe 😇
