I think the comment from eddieZDI was misunderstood. It doesn't seem like they were saying Miz was the only one who could teach him how to wrestle, they were saying nobody on the roster could teach Bryan to wrestle, but Miz was perfect since he could teach him to be a WWE guy (the superstar aspect).
The comment was not misunderstood, they made both points
It totally came across as misunderstood to me. If not there response was really poorly stated. Larsen even states that he agrees with the second point not both.
The SNL cast the night of Hogan & Mr. T hosting (the night before Mania 1) was Jim Belushi, Billy Crystal, Mary Gross, Christopher Guest, Rich Hall, Gary Kroeger, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Martin Short & Pamela Stephenson.

I hope you guys didn't take my comment as some kind of a backhanded insult, there's a reason this content is one of the only things I still interact with. Fair criticism isn't what I was talking about at all, it's more aimed at the people who seem to be grifting with all the complaints about wrestling, even when it's objectively an enjoyable segment/match/promo. You guys are definitely still a positive influence on the scene and I apologise if it came across any other way

The only thing it would take to refocus the New Day is Big E coming back as their manager. He doesn't need to bump. Just let him hype them up and be in their corner. the new Day would immediately have heat again.
I think eddieZDI's take was half-misinterpreted, he's saying no one had anything to teach Bryan wrestling-wise, so Miz was only there to teach him to be a better WWE guy.
Yeah they misunderstood his first point, and it was frustrating to listen to- but I think a lot of people would’ve misunderstood it because it wasnt made very clearly.

But also even for the way they took the comment, i still think there is more one can teach about wrestling than just moves, Miz could definetely teach Bryan some stuff
The standard DDT no, because we have so many different versions of it now that can be finishers like a Butterfly DDT, Hammerlock DDT, Lifting DDT, Diving DDT and more unlike Superkick because there’s not many different ways to give a Superkick
The Impaler DDT is a thing of beauty, still one of my favorite finishers to this day (especially Gangrel’s)

It's too easy to say that there are stories for the New Day without actually being specific. The roster is already stacked and there is little to no room for the New Day to do anything meaningful as singles wrestlers. You know what isn't stacked? The tag team divisions. Let them continue to serve their purpose as a credible tag team that fills in the gaps while trying to bring legitimacy to the tag team divisions, which they have failed to do for years.
The package piledriver isn't that bad wish they'd give back to Kevi... just name it something else to avoid the stigma of the piledriver in WWE

I think Miz vs Bryan was resolved. After Bryan came back from retirement they had the Summerslam match, then the HIAC had a mixed tag with their wives added, and then a blow off match at Super Showdown Australia

They've been together for 10 years, there's absolutely no reasonable story that would make sense for them to break up. If you want to give them singles runs, just give them singles runs with the other as their ally (like how Cody will always have Jey Uso as his ally)
It is Xavier finally seeing New Day was set up for Kofi and Big E to become world champions, but not him it'll only make sense now if Triple H gives him a main title run with the heel turn

Yeah only tease of break up is recently with Kross telling Woods to leave Kofi behind to find success. But they can be a forever team each of them have found success on their own while their friends supported them. Kofi won the World title, Big E went on a singles run by himself to get the IC and World title and Woods became KOTR with Kofi being there. Only thing would be for Woods to actually win a singles title of some kind and Kofi will be there to be his support

#HOTTAKE I have one: branding is everything. The reason wwe been on top since they purchased wcw is because they have mastered marketing. For example: Kanye West is a great marketer. Not all of his albums are Graduation level of amazing but they sell. How? Because he markets great. So much so he got people to buy Donda because of his controversial opinions making his fans back him no matter what. Same for wwe. They've done some head scratching stuff but they market their brand so well, they've obtained enough audience to keep watching. Thats the issue with aew: they haven't marketed themselves perfectly. Its not the story or matches or wrestlers, its their brand and tony needs to rebrand himself because the most hate aew is receiving all leads back to him. Once he fix the branding, then aew can fill seats, sell outs shows and be a true 2nd place for wrestlers to perform. Because the whole "we have partnership blank promotion" is now becoming a common practice with TNA, Marigold & rumored Pro Wrestling Noah partnership with wwe.
#HOTTAKE : drew loses. Enters money in the bank cause punk does. Wins. Holds it. Punk wins the rumble and drew cashes in the moment punk announced his choice, making it a triple threat. Figure. Punk vs. Drew vs. Gunther would be and insane main event
as sad as it would be for The New Day to call it a day, it would make for some wild story if they did break up as opposed to dissolve as a team. one of them would have to not just turn Heel, but go so far off the deep end because the fans love both Kofi and Woods so much.
I feel the same about AEW right now. Its a very mid product, just kinda there, nothing to get excited by.
This week again was a frustrating watch - the crowds at AEW are just killing the show for me. More and more now they only react to high spots now and remain almost silent for the rest of the show.
Ospreay v Fenix - awesome wrestling match but little investment from the audience, and that was featuring one of the companies top guys.
The Rush match. Practically silent, then post match he grabbed the mic and told the fans to "shut up!". I mean, it was crickets until MJFs music hit.
AEW just feels really flat at the moment.
The New Day shouldn't break up and WWE has plenty of care in their tag team divisions.
A tag team who has been together for ten years should be broken up? Really? Road Warriors, Sheepherders, Rock and Roll Express, Midnight Express, given they did have three or so different variations, but Why would you break up New Day? It seems like this is what they want. They might one day decide to on their own, but right now they are New Day and that's fine. Remember all those tag teams did stay together for a long time. But, the problem today is wrestling fans, oh they are boring or they have been together to long, well let's break them up.
Otis should join Kofi with and Truth and they are the new comedy group.

People talk about all kinds if absurd things and people and memes in all platforms. I'd venture to say the exact opposite of what Steve said is true. @@FriendoClubTV No. Some who get the newsletter like it and agree. Some have been getting it for years and used to like it and now don't. Some get it just to report on it because it creates clicks. A lot of those clicks are people looking to dunk on Dave. Just like how WrestleJuice has made WNN content. It doesn't mean WNN is a credible source.

@vegetalover9297 stupid dancing, Xavier's trombone playing is annoying. Overly exadurated happiness. Sure, I can accept that they are not made for me as a viewer but still annoying to watch them. I am a much bigger fan of Judgement Day and The Final Testement. Back in the day when Kofi had his Jamaican accent and when he was WWE champion, I enjoyed those characters much more than what they currently are.
