"That moment made grown men cry" - can confirm. Mark has been my wrestling idol for 30+ years and somehow I'd never seen him live. I completely broke down.
Mark Calaway is a living lesson of what a man is when he lives by his principles, being loyal, did things that maybe at the time were not good to do, but paid off at the end. Chris, your interview with The Undertaker was truly insightful! It’s fascinating to hear his thoughts on WrestleMania 40 and the potential heel turn for Cody. His perspective on Brock Lesnar and retirement adds so much depth to our understanding of the wrestling world. Thanks for sharing these moments with us!
Never thought I’d see Undertaker being interviewed by Chris. This one is for the books. Wouldn’t be surprised if this becomes one of his most viewed videos ever.
I started watching WWE in 2003, right as Taker was finishing his biker run. He's my all-time favorite, much respect to him, and I'm glad he's living his best life.
I’m so glad taker is adamant on not having another match!! Guy basically gave his life for wrestling. It’s so nice to see him enjoying his retirement bc he’s earned it! The boneyard match was the perfect way to end the character! Seeing him ride off into the darkness on his bike was awesome!! Imo that match was the best thing on mania that year they stole the show.
Chris, you asked questions on the smallest details of the Undertaker and his career that nobody's ever asked before, questions I've always wanted to know the answers to. This is evidence of how true of a fan you are man. Kudos! Thanks for this interview!
I 100% agree on his comment that JBL is underrated. We always could tell Bradshaw was strong and tough in the ring, but that JBL character really revealed some of his talents that I'd wager a lot of us didn't know he had.
Can you imagine growing up a wrestling fan, only to have a show where you interview wrestling legends that is sponsored by wrestling legends? Living the dream.
I knew Taker was going to say JBL as being underrated. And then when he said, "Because he had his run so late" I knew I was right. JBL's reign was absolutely terrific, and he put on some very good matches during those few years.
When the gong hit at Mania, I was jumping up and down in my living room (it's been 4:30 AM at that time and I think I woke up my neighbors) but holy hell it was such an amazing moment. Mark has been my hero since I started watching, have his cross tattooed on my arm and he helped me through tough times in my life. Thanks for that, even though you don't know anything about it. Love you man. And Chris, amazing job! Such a great one on one!
Chris. You are by far the best to do interviews. God bless you. You ask the right questions and let them answer it without interruption. You are the man Chris!
If Taker was on AEW. VKM would have a st8ke, ❤️ attack. Probably bust several blood veins. Tk scared of C.M. Punk. He truly doesn't want that kind of smoke with VKM.
What a humble ass dude. Considering he's arguably the goat in my opinion. Longevity, the different reinventions and changes to character but always playing some kind of major role. for no one to have a bad story about him and listening to him talk and be humble and truthful about a ton of stuff. It's crazy. Makes me a much bigger fan.
As a WWE fan since WWF Attitude era, I use to always fantasize hearing the wrestlers behind the scenes stories and unrevealing masks and all sorts of stuff. now look I feel like a kid hearing this. Hearing what these guys were going through in the biggest moments really gives respect to the dedication they gave to make our childhood fun 🙏🏿
I appreciate you asking him about taking the flag off of the mic before he cut a promo and asking him about rolling his eyes back. I’ve never heard him talking about that stuff.
I turned on notifications. I could listen to Undertaker tell stories all day long. I remember sometime in 91 my dad was watching wrestling, and the first show I watched had Taker wrestling Hogan. That was my first image of wrestling.

The boneyard match was the perfect way to end the character! Seeing him ride off into the darkness on his bike was awesome!! Imo that match was the best thing on mania that year they stole the show.
🫡🔥💭😈🐐🥂🙌🏻🔥
Amazing interview taker is hilarious
Another awesome interview Chris..with the one and only Undertaker. Thank you both!
That Paul Bearer story 😂😂😂😂
Chris, you asked questions on the smallest details of the Undertaker and his career that nobody's ever asked before, questions I've always wanted to know the answers to. This is evidence of how true of a fan you are man. Kudos! Thanks for this interview!
I 100% agree on his comment that JBL is underrated. We always could tell Bradshaw was strong and tough in the ring, but that JBL character really revealed some of his talents that I'd wager a lot of us didn't know he had.
The Undertaker definitely needs to go on that fishing trip with you and Rhino!
I agree!
Can you imagine growing up a wrestling fan, only to have a show where you interview wrestling legends that is sponsored by wrestling legends?
Living the dream.
oh man... his Paul Bearer impression....my god thats money
I knew Taker was going to say JBL as being underrated. And then when he said, "Because he had his run so late" I knew I was right. JBL's reign was absolutely terrific, and he put on some very good matches during those few years.
Teddy Long would be proud because Chris Van Vliet gave "You're gonna 1-on-1, tonight--with The Undertaker!..." an all-new meaning.
One of the best episodes
Great privilege to here Undertaker in a proper 1 to 1 interview. Greatest gimmick character in wrestling history bar none! Thank you, Mark.
Can't wait to watch this one!
Chris. You are by far the best to do interviews. God bless you. You ask the right questions and let them answer it without interruption. You are the man Chris!
“I’m ALL IN” Undertaker to AEW confirmed ✊
If Taker was on AEW. VKM would have a st8ke, ❤️ attack. Probably bust several blood veins. Tk scared of C.M. Punk. He truly doesn't want that kind of smoke with VKM.
Two you’ll never see on any other promotion: Cena or Taker. They are absolute WWE loyal.
NEVER 😂
Don't get your hopes up
🙄
I can listen to an interview with taker all day!
I love this interview it's my favorite interview you've done so far 💯🔥
Chris, you scallywag. This is amazing.
Haha I see what you see there 👏
I've seen a lot of Taker interviews. This is the best one. Very enjoyable. Very respectful. Thank you, CVV.
It’s crazy to have taker talking outside of kayfabe. He was always one of the guys who took kayfabe seriously.
I can believe we get access like this. This for my generation of fan is gold.❤
35:10 the legend grows. You know you’re a bad man when even The Undertaker fears the consequences.
His impersonations of Paul and Vince are immaculate. I love it.
I had no idea that I had been waiting for this for years until it was over
"Lebron's wearing your shirt."
"Could've been Jordan" 😂😂
I turned on notifications. I could listen to Undertaker tell stories all day long. I remember sometime in 91 my dad was watching wrestling, and the first show I watched had Taker wrestling Hogan. That was my first image of wrestling.
