the Emmett rant about Pepsi literally answered a question of mine I've had forever, why does the fast food chains only have Pepsi... thank you Emmett 🙏
I usually have a handful of OCs I obsess over at a time, and they're all I wanna write about. To narrow it down even further, they're two couples, so all I wanna write is cute and fluffy romance scenarios around one or the other pairing. 😂
Awwwww I love that though, being obsessed with OCs that are a couple! I used to do that all the time with Chaz x Summer in MySims. You can't draw or write about one without the other sometimes 😭💕
I need to remember this for when I am writing for the cartoon I'm making! I realize I have been focusing too much on one character when the story is about two characters.
That's good to hear that you'll be using the tips for your story! It's always good to give the right characters the right amount of balanced time to shine! 😁
Oh man I have 4 main Protagonists and have always had a HUGE bias for 2 of them (the 2 girls out of the main 4 lol). Taking time to balance the story made me remember why I made and liked writing the 2 boys! It makes me wonder how on earth people manage to write stories with like an entire classroom of characters😭 I feel like you'd be doomed to have some steal more spotlight naturally.
Ohhh it happens all the time in TVs and books haha, it's almost like you have to have an imaginary scale in your head, cause there's times I've had Emmitt have more lines of dialog that Kathy 😭😭 and I had to erase them But anyways I'm curious why you have a bias for two of them and not the other two 😭

AWWWWW THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR READING IT 😭💕💕💕 But haha I'm glad Jionis your fave since she's literally almost in every scene 😭 but that's funny that you mention the bad boy Emmitt thing, you should see how he looked like when he was 16 (in the present day series he's 17) he used to have more punk-grunge look before. So it's almost like there's remnants of him being a bad boy but his current attitude and look has scrubbed that clean. 😭 But yeah from watching your videos I can't tell who's your favorite, everyone in the paladins universe seems to have equal ample amount of screen time. i've had my main oc, victor dredg, since i was 11 in 2011. he is my #1 absolute top favorite character of all time, and most of my stories revolve around him! :D he is my favorite because, well, since i had him when i was 11, as i grew older i used him to experiment and ended up implementing ALL of my favorite character tropes into him! i have thought about victor ALL DAY, EVERY DAY, for over a decade. he is CRAZY fun to write for me, and i even love going back and reading older things i've written about him!
Interestinggggggggg cause I kinda see where you're coming from, you make art for yourself first and foremost and that's good! You don't have to have everyone like them, I was just trying to explain what happens when you make a character that's supposed to be likeable or tolerable and then completely miss the ball x'D But if you like Victor who's anyone to change him if how he's written is something you enjoy, that makes sense tbh 👌💕
I have a couple fav ocs, which most I do draw more often (and story wise, I love em). And one of them is based off of me( which is basically a few things I do/like to do, like playing the switch), while my other one (Cole) has kind of like an 80s rock star hair cut( LOVE THAT HAIRSTYLE :D). Although before he just had short hair, but I decided to give him that mainly because it suited him more (mainly because *when* he grows up, he wants to be an hair stylist)
Omg I love that! Yeah it's always fun to give OCs fun hairstyles, and I always loved the hairstyles from the 70s and 80s! Period specific hairstyles are a must 😭
one of the reasons i love my favourite character in the story i'm writing (the protagonist) IS that he's... not that likeable, actually. he's not completely unbearable but he is fairly obnoxious. the deuteragonist hasn't realised that yet because she's known him for a lot less long than most of the other main characters and thus she tolerates him. one character who has known him for years but not _personally_ thinks he's obnoxious, but, again, tolerates him and doesn't think much of it. however the character who's known him for THE longest time (decades) HATES him. like he hates him with a passion. homestuck (2009) did irreversible damage to my brain so i'll also say you could honestly just call what they have going on kismesisitude.
I wish I had time to allow homestuck to do irreversible damage to my brain! Lmao, off topic, but in middle school during silent reading time, I convinced my teacher that Homestuck was a book on my phone, and she allowed it 💀💀 didn't get too far cause my phone was slow but anyways Your protagonist is honestly one of my favorite types of character! @@Rosemadi.artist yea, I the triplets each have there own ways of communicating, the oldest (he claims he's the oldest) is the most mature and practices his English (or watches his brothers in case something bad happens), the middle triplet goes around being a dumb boi, curious of what the humans do at the beach. Yeah for sure! I remember my first draft of my book I spent like the entire first page describing how all the buildings and streets looked. I thought that was necessary for my book to immediately get the readers up to speed on what's happening, but in reality it was just boring.
