Art school will teach you the start of the art. The rest is learned by yourself online or by a course online or by hiring a personal teacher/mentor.
At the end of the art school you will have a started set portfolio that won't get you hired.
You will have to stay a year or two working on that portfolio to be on a hirable level.
This is reality it will never change.

That's so true, especially if you're trying to specialize in something, it's worth taking that extra sabbatical after college to self improve
