Hello, my name is Ollie and I run the Basic Ollie TH-cam and Twitch channel.
Recently I have taken the big step to go into real life racing! Now as much as I enjoyed it and as much as you all enjoyed watching me do it, I simply can't afford to do it as much as I like due to the costs involved. Now I am very keen to do more and it seems you all are equally as keen to see more so I decided to come up with an idea...
Myself and Josh are going to be doing 5... yes 5 24 hour races in the space 10 weeks! Just the 2 of us which is going to be a grueling task to try and raise money for a real life drive either this year or next. We have several plans in place to do this but we need the help of the sim racing community to do so. We have a car we can purchase and a championship we can enter (BMW 1 series cup) and we have the means to do it, we just need the funds to secure that spot. Myself and Josh will be driving the car and will be working on upgrading our license to see where it can take us!
All the races we take part in will be either live streamed or we will make videos out of them so that you can all see the progress and what your money has gone towards
Now of course we have no idea how well this could go, it could completely flop or do incredibly well but we don't know until we try so here we are, doing a silly amount of races to try and race those IRL racing funds. Current target is 10k but honestly, anything that will help us.... we will be incredibly thankful for
