“I wrote them for nothing” was lowkey a beautiful way to see it lol
well he wrote them for nothing but sold them eventually too so ...
ive seen this clip so many times but i have to watch each time. it's that iconic.
Haha, same 🤷♂️
💯 agree. I especially enjoy when he recreates MJ’s voice.

"I can't do it".
Paul's last line in this video.... is so spot on.
Billions of dollars for something he and his best mates created out of thin air.
The Beatles songs were estimated as being worth 2.1 billion dollars in January 2022.
Does that mean m.j. ‘s estate still owns the rights, and it’s worth that?
@@jakeweisenberg3097 I heard ages ago MJ sold them to Sony.
@@deputyvanhalen6386 Paul and Sony both own them
Where did you get that number?
@@AstroSully - It is from an article I read in January of 2022.
Paul giving Micheal the finger😂 1:53 brilliant. I read Paul bought them back that true anyone?
How can Paul be mad at Michael when Paul is buying other people's catalogs??????
MJ: So he slapped me on the back.... and I took that personally.
Lol good one!
Another Michael 🤣🤣
W
Macca is talking about 1985, which is 16 years before this. This interview is now 21 years ago.
That's actually crazy
Crazy to think we're closer in time to 2040 than 2001. Math is crazy sometimes.
@@justinmraap You just caused be to have an existential crisis...
@@IsaacWale2004did you know cleopatra lived closer to modern times than she did to when the pyramids were built?
@@Toosii2times No, but that one doesn't blow my mind as much.
people underestimated michael jackson’s business knowledge, he ended up not only buying the beatles catalog but numerous eminem songs as well
Not only Eminem but Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna, Chris Brown, Usher, Shakira as well.
@@raiden8991 and Beyoncé and Jay-Z and some Elvis
Knowledge he got McCartney.
No no no, he owned 50% of Sony/ATV shares.
So then why was he in such debt when he passed?
1:55 once he said “he won’t even answer my letters” he put up a subtle not so subtle middle finger 💀💀💀💀🤣
While looking at the camera!
1:53 Paul is giving🖕 lol 😂
I caught that, lol….
Plus he's looking at the camera when he does it, lol!
notice the subtle flipping the bird at 1:54
So weird bands and musicians not owning their own songs
How come he said to MJ that he should get into publishing, but he himself didn't?
Not the "Secret middle finger" he does at 1:53 😂😂
Actually "Looks at the camera and displays the secret middle finger"
Paul had first choice, didn’t do it. Michael made a business decision. I love both their music.
*As usual for a Wacko Jacko fanboy on this issue, you missed the point entirely- McCartney explicitly states in this (and other) interviews he had/has no problem with Wacko Jacko getting the catalog. His issue was how Wacko Jacko blanked him and after being the songs went on to commercialise them.*
Yep. And he called him to give him a heads up and asked him before he bought it.
@@MattSingh1it’s not about being a fanboy. Paul owned lots of music, do you think he took their families feelings into consideration? He should’ve bought the music
I know I’m late I’m a big fan ❤
Not only did Paul not even attempt to go buy the catalog. Michael went up to him and asked “are you gonna buy the catalog? If not, I’m going to”.
Michael violated the bro code though
McCartney didn't have the money at the time.
@@ead630 😂😭
@@ead630 what bro code? He asked Paul if he wanted it. It was up for bid. Why should others but not MJ bid on it?
@@billborrow9695 We all know why #they had a problem with MJ bidding on the beatles catalog. 👀
1:53 'He wont even answer my letters'
Does Paul subtlly give the finger after saying that? hmmm ...
And whilst looking at the camera!
Paul is being very misleading about this. Michael bought that catalog fair and square. Paul had the chance to buy it himself and chose not to. That's on him.
He kinda said that in the interview with Howard
He could have bought them he had the money he just dident think mijac would out bid him
He shouldn't have to buy his songs to begin with. A songwriter should be the owner of their own songs by default. Yay capitalism.
@@ceoofbased3956 exactly
how is he being misleadong? he said the exact same thing that michael bought it fair and square, he talked about the raise
1:53
The middle finger to the camera lol
While looking at the camera, ha-ha!
Michael true genius. Jews taught him well
Why didn't he buy them before MJ did. Can't complain
Paul is stingy, he thinked it was being selled too expensive
Paul simply got outbid by Michael, which is a detail that easily gets left out
Paul actually owns his songs now
@@JackSucksAtEverythinand rightfully so
@@JackSucksAtEverythinhis songs weren’t up for bid. It was the Beatles songs
"We should by those songs back" lol
Mj was going to buy marvel too
2:11 and that became true. Quivers got that spot on, at least they have to say Sony/ATV publishing... Publishing company gets more recognition than the artists
Listen to Cinemartyr.
okay paul...
"I don't have access to his accounts".
Howard says I do lol
💕💕💕
You and everyone else underestimated the King of Pop 😖
King of Pedo you mean. Baby dangler Perve Demon 😈 Devil etc
Damn straight! 😲
@@elisagriffith1878 Spiritual revolutionary you mean
Couldn't Paul just put bid Michael? Especially if the other Beatles and Beatle estates bought them together.
The other Beatles estates didn’t want to so Paul was on his own
While he has done very well for himself, the early 80s wasn't the best time for Paul, and Michael had Thriller money.
@@Toast960 Paul did have $20 million. He could have bought it
@@billborrow9695 he had 20 million spare cash? Or net worth. Maybe he didnt want to sell everything just for songs lol
@@clutch7548 He had $20m or he could have borrowed what he didn't have on hands. But if MJ had $46m Paul certainly had $20m
MJ IS NOT JUST A GREAT ENTERTAINER BUT A GREAT BUSINESSMAN AS WELL
"The song is mine" MJ
MJ what a legend
WOW!! I wonder if Paul got his songs back...
He did. Macca and Sony have owned them since 2017.
@@benmarshall404 Okay. Thank You : )
@@benmarshall404 he didn't. Sony made an agreement and they are still the owners under US law.

Jealousy and irony, lives together in perfect harmony :)
It’s crazy how ppl get upset about him buying them but musicians and publishers rob the artist all the time. It’s business nothing personal
Suppose he thought he was a friend though
@@oll6531 well Michael did ask for permission first.
Why did he sell them in the first place?
Are you for real?
He didn't, Sony Music did.
@@briancollins5117 what????
Didn’t Paul say it was too expensive? Can’t believe he was running around complaining..and don’t get me started on Howard Stern, his jealousy and hatred of Michael is well documented.
Really? How comes?
More proof that MJ's "kind soul" and "child at heart" act was just that. An act.
Seller's remorse.

Repent and call on Jesus.
Romans 10 9 - That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
Luke 13 3 - I tell you nay: but except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
