Hey there, I do the same style of fishing in Perth WA. Buy yourself a packet of 1/0, 2/0 and 3/0 BKK inline single hooks and change out the hooks of your lures. changing to inline singles and steel core assists will dramatically decrease the amount of dropped fish.

Mate! Legend! Thanks for your comment and tip. Another legend told me the same thing. I changed the hooks, and I am going to try it. Unfortunately, I did not have any luck recently. The weather hasn't helped much but I will definitely give it a try. Thanks again. Legend! Let's gooooo! 🎣🤙

@DanTheFisho 9'6" rod (N.S. black hole Hurricane 2) 4000 size shimano symetre 15lb j braid, 10, 20, 30lb mono or fluro leader depending on what I'm doing. Fg knot to join and small Swivel clip to lure. I will upgrade the symetre to something high speed when the wife let's me 🤣

@@christallowin4046 Thanks mate. I use a very similar setup too. I am using a 10'6 rod though. Great to hear I am on the right track. Thanks for sharing your knowledge mate. There is a lot to learn for sure, including getting the wife's approval. Haha I too want to upgrade a few things but need to wait for her green light. Haha have a good one mate 🤙
