I'm not being snarky, I PROMISE, but I'm sick to death, not talking about you, but I'm sick to death of intuitive eating influencers who post the foods that they eat and ALL of their videos are like grilled salmon, quinoa, steamed veggies, and a tangerine for "dessert". Like, where's the cake? Where's the freaking mashed potatoes. I welcome comments because I am wondering if it's only me who notices these people.
No ma'am you're not! It's mildly annoying and unrealistic. I am an intuitive eater, and YES, l eat ice cream and other treats in balance. Would be nice to see them post that more!
Hey! I can totally get where you're coming from. Sure some days are more "balanced" but cake is also totally fine! Everyone is different with what makes them feel their best- I personally enjoy a mix of both "soul nourishing" and "nutrient dense" foods and try to always show that here on my channel 😊

I think it’s super important to remember that all of us are in different phases of our intuitive eating journeys. Colleen has been doing this for years and has had a lot of time to really delve into the “gentle nutrition” aspect, so she may be very very in touch with what works best for her digestion that still allows for wiggle room. Whereas someone just starting out may be much more into the “reject the diet mentality” phase and is indulging in lots of things they haven’t been able to have for a long time. I highly recommend the book if you seek more guidance on this, as opposed to just looking to influencers who are in all kinds of different phases.
Going a vacation tomorrow with my husband. We’re going to Florida for my best friend’s son’s wedding ❤ I want to truly be in the moment, spending time with my husband and celebrating my friends son. Happy I don’t want to worry about how I look! And yes, I am heading over to the affiliations page on the app😊
Colleen, don’t you worry about the ice cream cone, I never find them satisfying because it tastes like fake ice cream, like a more low calorie ice cream. However, on royal caribbean in the windjammer near the dessert they always have a stand with a lady that lets you pick your own scoop of ice cream and this ice cream is the real thing. So if you want to try the cone you can but if you’re looking to feel that’s satisfaction try the windjammer next time for ice cream.
We did find the station in the windjammer thankfully!!!! They also had oatmeal cookies which paired purrrrrfectly with the scoop of vanilla... hit the spot!
Hi! I do like distance races but only in small doses HAHA! Every other year or every few years I'll do a 25k. I'm NOT a marathon kinda person- no desire for super long distances like that! I tend to feel my best when I get up and move a bit throughout the day. We'd sit for about 4-5 hours here relaxing and reading, at that point I was read to get up a bit and walk around to checkout the ship!
Buffets are always a “fear” for me. I started doing what you also suggested by looking first, then making my choices. I currently still struggle, but I look forward to going to a buffet without fear.
