You guys are the best when I want details of cruise food. Haven’t found anyone doing as well as you. Appreciate your organization of the content very much!
Great video, The evening buffet looks really nice. I like how your wife , even when she doesn’t care for something, she always finds something nice. (Pistachio crème brûlée). lol Thanks folks.
Yeah that'd be nice. Most cruise lines don't have it any more, even once cruise. We still have fond memories of NCL's midnight Chocoholics buffet. Carnival had a midnight buffet too but took it away about 2 years ago.
Another great video. I really enjoyed the buffet on the Regal Princess when we were on the ship in November 2023. I liked the large variety of Asian dishes and all of the theme nights on the cruise. One shortcoming of both the MDR and the buffet was the quality of some of the beef entrees. However, there were a lot of great dishes , some of which I have recreated at home. The key is getting to the lunch and dinner buffets on time to get the specials. I will be back on the Regal Princess in March 2025. Refresh my memory. Do they serve you beverages on Princess or do you serve yourself?
Thanks JL! 😊 Yeah we quite enjoyed the variety of the buffet too- great way to try so many different dishes with all the theme nights. And yup usually they would ask and bring us drinks unless it gets really busy, then we just get them ourselves so biggie. One of the few lines out there that will bring you drinks at the buffet.
The very first time I ever tried chateaubriand was on the Discovery Princess inside Horizon Court. I almost died it was so delicious 😅. The food here looks just fine to me, but it feels like Princess does a much better job when it’s a ship’s inaugural year. They make sure everything is perfect. It was a really good food experience that sailing. I try so hard to be a food snob, but it never works out 😂. I definitely think I would be satisfied with this. I’m a 2-dinner person: I always start with Horizon Court, and then make my way to the MDR. Then at the end of the night, I go back to my stateroom and die 😂
Yeah sounds like there was better food when you were on it, but overall this was pretty good too. Got a lot more to show in part 2. Thanks for the comment Scott! 😊
The food here is fantastic variety 😅 passed from good hard collanist chiefs my❤ and my kids and my husband to these chefs porters and staff ❤😅 there doing great 👍 😊
Do you ever go on Queen Mary 2 and if so what do you think about all the food? It was my favorite of all my cruises so much that we are going on again.
We sure did- excellent food quality overall on the QM2. Here's the playlist of our QM2 food videos: th-cam.com/play/PLKZWB-uCIzwRCQOyjx4OIXQmGTORhOfE3.html
I’m way too gullible when it comes to cruise food, so I appreciate hearing different views. I’ve cruised about 5 different cruise lines now, and every single time I’m tempted to be overly optimistic. That being said, I have to say that what’s represented here is *far* better than what I had last year on a Royal Caribbean voyage. It was an Oasis-class ship, and the food was appalling. I’ve been on two Princess voyages, and the food (IMHO) has been consistently good - at least compared to what Royal has been putting out in the last 12 months. I haven’t been on enough cruises to have a really good opinion, so I appreciate when someone has a differing opinion. Perhaps when I have more cruises under my belt, I’ll have better discernment when it comes to cruise food 😅
@@TVHouseHistorian In general, the buffets on Celebrity, Holland America, and Princess are generally very good in terms of quality. HAL has probably the best food and definitely excellent service as the food is all served to you but there is less variety. Princess has most variety and very good service but there are some misses in some of the dishes. Celebrity has good variety but offers less service and at least on the S-class ships the buffet seating is always packed. Carnival and RCCL buffets are decent but not close to the premium lines. NCL has pretty decent food in the buffet but so much of it is very ordinary and unimaginative.
Never saw this assortment of dishes on our Coral Princess Australia 26 day cruise or our S outh Pacific Princess 26 day cruise. I guess the Royal class and above off this type of buffet 😂
Yeah they only have the midnight buffet on special occasions like NYE. But the pizza & burger places (th-cam.com/video/PXjvPDLt37g/w-d-xo.html) are open until 11 PM, and of course the International Cafe (th-cam.com/video/cB6PF4CuqFg/w-d-xo.html) is open 24 hours.
Love your videos. Im surprised at the food snobs responding to cruise reviews. To get better food than this, you would have to pay more than the per person daily rate for the cruise, for just one meal.
I would want to try some of those Asian dishes if Not too spicy. Especially with chicken. There's always the salad bar my best friend!! It's always so interesting. Thank you for showing and names of foods
Thank you!!! That really bothered me how she served something and mixed it into her food with the ladle touching. I'm a vegetarian and things like this are my nightmare!! They are literally contiminating the food and this is what I worry about at buffets.
First let me say that I am a picky eater. That being said, I would be hard pressed to find something edible. During our last cruise, hubby and I ate a lot of hamburgers.
I'm sorry but that tabbouleh was pathetic. It is supposed to be mostly parsley and some bulger, not the other way around. I hate when they go THAT cheap on things that it completely takes away from the dish. And canned tuna for that tuna poke bowl? Come on Princess.
Yup that canned tuna was kind of an odd choice for a poke bowl- same with the smoked salmon. Guess they're saving the sashimi for the specialty sushi place.
The roast beef looked like top round, no wonder it was so dry. The rendang just looked wrong, made by someone who didn't know what they were doing. I have to say the food on Princess doesn't look great.
the food is 90% stews with garlic which i can’t eat ,the food has got much worse since i first started cruising on princess 10 years ago after watching this i am not looking forward to my next cruise now in Dec .the desserts look like cardboard and artificially over sweet the food looks appallingly awful .and obviously not prepared by chefs but kitchen hands very disappointing to watch . the lady is giving an honest opinion on the food and she doesn’t seemed impressed with most of the food either .
Hope your cruise experience will exceed your expectations low as it seems right now. Have a great time, and would love to hear how it went after you get back!

Thank you very much- we really appreciate that! 😊
Totally agree 💯
@@tubetop123 Thank you very much! 😊
Great video,
The evening buffet looks really nice.
I like how your wife , even when she doesn’t care for something, she always finds something nice. (Pistachio crème brûlée). lol
Thanks folks.
Thanks George! 😊 Yeah that Pistachio crème brûlée was too heavy-handed with sugar, but overall they had some good desserts.
I feel this lovely lady has tasted many foods & i would definitely listen to her choices. Textures, flavors, she notices much. Bon appetit 🎉
Thank you very much! 😊 Bon appetite!
I like the way you present the food. Clear and not rushed, I can see what they are... Good job!
Thank you very much! 😊
I truly enjoy your take on the food and your videos are great. Right to the important part of a cruise… not having to cook ☺️
Thank you very much! 😊 That's a one of our favorite things about cruising for sure- a lot of good food without having to cook! 🙂
Would like to see midnight buffet one night on cruise
Yeah that'd be nice. Most cruise lines don't have it any more, even once cruise. We still have fond memories of NCL's midnight Chocoholics buffet. Carnival had a midnight buffet too but took it away about 2 years ago.
I remember the Celebrity midnight buffet from our 1999 Alaskan cruise.
You need a time machine for that. They were fabulous even on Carnival.

I do the same ... in reverse ...
The food here is fantastic variety 😅 passed from good hard collanist chiefs my❤ and my kids and my husband to these chefs porters and staff ❤😅 there doing great 👍 😊
This video is very well put together. Excellent work, guys.
Our pleasure- glad you enjoyed it! 😊

The food looked really good. Nice review. Thanks and take care.
Thanks for the comment Karen! 😊 You too!
I like your earrings !!😂
Thanks! 😊
Awesome video I’m going on this cruise in December or the NCL escape!
Our pleasure- enjoy your cruise! 😊
Will be cruising on the Regal later this year. Our first Princess cruise. Thank you so much for your wonderful videos.
Our pleasure- thanks you very much for the comment! 😊 A lot of good food to look forward to on your cruise! 😋
I didn't think the food here looked very appetizing. Love Joanne's expressions. She is looking very pretty in this video. Good job.

there’s nothing wrong with the food you can stay and cook
What’s your opinion on the Jell-O and fruit plate?

Nice video guys! Subscribed 👍
Awesome! Thank you! 😊
I want to try an anchovy but have never tried them. They are fish and I love fish.
Yes! Anchovies are very tasty- the saltiness gives a umami-like flavor.
Going on my first Princess cruise next month. Going to have to try the Buffet for dinner. Selection looks great. Thanks for another helpful video! 🙂
Our pleasure! 😊 Thanks for the comment Christian- look forward to hearing what you think after your cruise!

Ramen every night? Can't wait to sail Princess!
Have a great time! 🙂
I’m missing the midnight buffet 😢

Thank you very much! 😊 💯 Agree with you about the quality of food for the price vs land- one of the reasons why we enjoy cruising.
206 days to go!
How exciting! Lots of good food to look forward to!
Some of the food looks ok, but nothing too exciting, I think Holland America has much better food. You guys do a great job, love your videos!!
Yup agree with you that HAL has better quality dishes overall, though Princess does have more selection and seafood items. Thanks for the comment! 😊
Hey guys!
Hi Angela!! 🙂
The prime rib looks dry like the desert
I would want to try some of those Asian dishes if Not too spicy. Especially with chicken. There's always the salad bar my best friend!! It's always so interesting. Thank you for showing and names of foods
That's awesome! Yeah they do a good job labeling if something is spicy, but yes always that trusty salad bar to fall back on.
Ramen looks so good but it needs a soft boiled egg!
Absolutely! A sliced egg would be perfect.
👍🤠
🙏😊
Only crazy rich Asians can afford to go on so many trips like this.
Feel better?
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Don’t talk with you’re mouth full, don’t swish serving ladles around in you’re bowl!
Thank you!!! That really bothered me how she served something and mixed it into her food with the ladle touching. I'm a vegetarian and things like this are my nightmare!! They are literally contiminating the food and this is what I worry about at buffets.
She really has no expertise in food.
I’m a huge dessert person…..none of those desserts looked that great. And what’s up with the vanilla sauce ? Where is the chocolate sauce?
Does this cruise buffet have seafood 😢
They did, though they had more during lunch, and actually had a seafood extravaganza too: th-cam.com/video/3YZyJQkk0QI/w-d-xo.html
Cooking for thousands can’t be that good.
First let me say that I am a picky eater. That being said, I would be hard pressed to find something edible. During our last cruise, hubby and I ate a lot of hamburgers.
Yeah the Princess main dining room dinner dishes are certainly much better vs the buffet in quality, so you'd probably like the food there better.
I'm sorry but that tabbouleh was pathetic. It is supposed to be mostly parsley and some bulger, not the other way around. I hate when they go THAT cheap on things that it completely takes away from the dish. And canned tuna for that tuna poke bowl? Come on Princess.

This does not look appetizing
Yuck
The food looked very underwhelming. I wouldn’t eat there.
Please elaborate. Just the first 2 dishes (ramen, satay) are already awesome
Funny
They are most vegetables, very healthy
The food was alright I was on the enchanted princess. I give it a 6.
That food looked terrible ugh I rather eat the kids chicken nuggets than anything.. thank you for sharing
You oversell this crap in every video
The buffet room and the food place are clean. This Asian woman is not objective, she should not be review food blogs like this.👎🏾
