  • Today I will show you how to change line on a spinning reel while doing some fall jerkbait bass fishing. The fishing line on my spool is a few months old. Its running low and getting some line twist. Today I am spooling up some fresh 8 lb test Omni Flex fishing line. It really is quick and easy if you follow these simple tips. After getting the new line on the reel I manage to catch three small largemouth bass and a green sunfish. The only lure I can get a bite on lately is a jerkbait and today is no exception. If you think you don't have enough time to replace your line, you might be surprised by how quickly you can change it. #fishing #bassfishing

I have so much faith in Omniflex that I make ALL my Catfish Rig leaders with it! I fish for monster blues in the James River n Omniflex has NEVER failed me!!! N I gotta tell u I was so proud of my 9 yr old granddaughter today! Her father n I were setting up the catfish poles n I turn around to see her with 1 of my garbage bags n she is cleaning up the trash in the area saying, "if I find the ppl that do this I'm gonna put them in this bag n throw them in the dumpster!" That's my girl!! Lol

Three-quarters of the earth's surface is water and one-fourth is land. It is quite clear that the Lord wants us to enjoy fishing three times more.

I do it almost exactly the same way. The only difference is when I take the line off the reel I wrap it around my elbow and between my thumb and fingers to make a giant loop which seems to help me control the line a little better. It's pretty much like making a loop of rope.

4 fish is darn good. I thought for a second you were gonna toss that line on the ground as a gag... That jerkbait has been doing the job. Fish on!

I never knew about flipping the spool over to avoid twists. Thanks.

Those little guys sure beat being at work but at least there's a realistic fishing video to keep me going. Good looking out on the omniflex it really is great for the price and when I inevitably backlash and have to cut it out I don't feel bad respooling

Alex, I went fishing today and broke my tip off trying to unsnag my spinner. That was after getting 0 bites for 2 hours on a slip bobber and worm. If there wasn’t somebody on TH-cam showing my how to keep it realistic, I’d probably be saying “to hell with fishing”. Today was humbling, and I will be back at it with a new combo before long to break the spell and not my rod 😅

New fishing line, second cast with new line and cough a bass, I was excited too, it looked like you were getting some nice casts in and few other fish, and found a bobber. Great Video, Thank You

Bought me some 4lb mono this morning. Caught about 30 African jewel fish in my trap with some small Tilapia and sunfish mixed in too. I used the jewel fish to catch 6 largemouth bass and a soft-shell Turtle that I was able to free without issue. Great day for me! Then it rained like a hurricane and I took my motorcycle to fish today lol. Great day bad ending.

At least you're getting the little ones, I still haven't broken my goose egg this year, Alex! If nothing else, staying consistent, and....keeping it realistic!
