With the added throttle response you noticed, I'm sold! Been waiting all week for your video. Thanks so much and the planning involved! Much appreciated 👍

UEL headers is by far the best soundings on ejs for sure, having heard equals in person wide open it's just not the same imo. But when going for big power sacrifices will made, that's why I am keeping mine lower because I love the rumble so much.
I definitely prefer the UEL. I just upgraded to the Invidia Q300 on my STi - I prefer the deeper rumble over stock... and, to me, the rumble is better than music.
I was in the same position when I did my header upgrade to my 08 sti. Originally I bought a set of aftermarket UEL headers, but my tuner convinced me to change it to EL. Honestly, the UEL of course sounds cooler, but you could really feel the difference in power with EL. You can feel the car not struggle as much. EL all the way!
Really appreciate all the time and effort for this comparison. The EL sound incredible, it's definitely something I'll look into doing. Can't get enough content of your Subie!

@@Autofreakgarage Ah, that sucks! Will be curious to hear how the Cobb Ti sounds with the EL header...I have a feeling it will be very quiet. I heard it in a video with a guy who had aftermarket UEL headers and a catless DP and it still wasn’t very loud. It is a good option though I think, due to the quality and lightness.
You need to remap the engine after changing headers, just to keep in mind. UEL is the sound porn so many crave for. I would stay UEL, regardless any downsides it has.
Aftermarket UEL's make a big difference as well. Definitely a deeper bark than OEM. But EL + twin scroll is the most efficient overall. Many people overlook that. But the true twin scroll EL manifolds are 💰💰💰💰💰 and usually come in a kit.
I love those headlights, where can I get them for my 2017 sti? And what modifications were done to the wiring for the turn signal and removing the driving light in inner section? Also, the DRLs stay on with the wiring modification as well?
What a clean STI dude. Nice smoked windows instead of some cartoonish limo tint, no tacky rain guards or mud flaps, beautiful metallic wheels with excellent fitment, and I love the color of the calipers. I've been thinking of repainting mine a similar color, the neon green just doesn't do it for me. keeping these cars subtle is such an unappreciated approach.

Good audio comparison between the two. They sound so different from each other. The equal length sounds a bit more raspy and loud. Both sound really good but I do like that deeper unequal length sound. Just a personal preference. Too bad my WRX has equal length. lol Again, great vid.

I have STI with Killer B headers/Q300 catback. The UEL headers will always sound more gooder and deeper signature subie rumble. However, the performance benefits of the EL headers wins for me. Great comparison ! To me , the car is far more enjoyable with the EL headers
That color flicker is 👌.. and ELH doesn’t sound too bad in the video. Would have to hear it in person but if it’s more efficient and you like it then who cares?
Love the videos! I just got a 2021 STI base model. I don’t want to void my warranty so I’m just going to do just exhaust/headers. I’m liking the opinion on the ELH.
