Brilliant. I had heard of this conversion, but never knew how it was done. I love my LP53, but what a pain to cock, the cocking aid is a must! These pistols are getting quite expensive now, supply and demand I guess. However the Predom Lucznik, which is known as the poor man's Walther, is actually almost on a par when it comes to the fun factor. I have two of them.
Now, Walther, howsabout it? Not with either of mine, though. Both are mint and boxed. But what a great idea, and a realistic re-appreciation of an iconic air pistol. If Walther were to produce it, it would no doubt hit somewhere near the thousand mark, but what a lovely piece of air pistol shooting history it would be.
Nice idea, unfortunately I think since they were bought out my umerex they don’t care so much. I think they discontinued all their spring rifles which is a real shame. Cheers
Had this idea myself, but never explored it further, this looks like a saleable product. Very well made! Are the shooting Military Rapid Fire Pistol (CISM) in the range next door?
No, but if you mean the guy who made a few modern gas ram versions of the Britannia I know him. He made them after seeing my long Britannia video. I’ll do a video on them one day. Thanks
Brilliant conversion

Thank you for always showing such interesting things I didn't even know existed! Now I want to try make my own conversion...
Nice video Matt 👍 Shows what can be done if your a clever old stick like Lawrie
That is an amazing convertion of the LP 53, im sure you also have a spare (original) lp53, and i like the resettable can setup you made :)
beautiful job - and idea
That is awesome. I have a brand new LP53 in the box and i hope for a drop in set to buy soon. Thanks for showing mate 😁Cheers!
Don't, it'll dramatically reduce it's value.
Why not buy another, in used condition and convert that?
@@russellham2094 Yeah, you're right, i will look for a used one but wait for the kit to be available first..
There’s no kit, it’s a permanent conversion as the piston has to be machined. Still worth more than a normal one though.
Cracking video. Always wanted one of these.
very clever
Great video as always... What a brilliant conversion thank you so much for sharing
Thanks mate

Police pistol range next door and Army out in the woods nearby
Good old Laurie a great bloke, There has been quite a few LP 53's going through the auctions recently., did you bid on any of them?
This one I’ve had for years but never really liked shooting it. When Lawrie showed me one of these I had to get it done on mine. He’s a great fellah.
Are You the Gentleman Who replicated the 1905 Brittania rifle?
No, but if you mean the guy who made a few modern gas ram versions of the Britannia I know him. He made them after seeing my long Britannia video. I’ll do a video on them one day. Thanks
