    Wonderful! Here in the Philippines we had lots of makers as well but now defunct. Good thing new makers came out to replace them. As per air pistols we have here Squires Bingham which later became ArmsCor. But they no longer produce airguns. Another defunct name is Rogunz. They also produced excellent air pistols. I have them in my collection too...

      £200 for a nice one but the later all steel premier’s are better to shoot and almost as lovely and should be £150 for a nice one 👍 I prefer .177 as they have a flatter trajectory

    You're right about the Webley pistols, they were extremely well made, owned a couple of them in the past. The last l exchanged for the Walther L53, another beautifully made pistol. l currently own a Feinwerkbau 300SU that l bought new in about 1976/7...it still looks like new..

    I had a premier back in the day. Loved it. The barrel catch broke and I swapped it in this condition with a school chum for a knife he’d brought back from a school trip to Europe. In 77 I bought a tempest I think it was called. Sold that almost immediately, wasn’t much use to a student (too noisy for the bed sit telephone directory target practice I had in mind) and I’d blown student grant money on it. 😂

      I’m a big fan of the tempest, one of my first air pistols back in the 1980’s. One features in the next video.
      Tricky to zero in as the sight adjustment is very crude but they are accurate little pistols.

    Ptdunk, Having just aquired an almost mint, boxed LP53. I would like you to tell me how do you hit such small targets at such range. Mine doesn't shoot accurately no matter how I hold it.

    • @dkjngl1
      @dkjngl1  ปีที่แล้ว

      Best piece of advice I can give you is make sure you exercise good follow through. If you watch the video again you’ll see I keep aiming at the target for a couple of seconds after I shoot it. This makes all the difference to accuracy.
      I hold it loosely and let it recoil as much as it wants, much easier to do that repeatedly than with any kind of firm grip.
      Then take the time to roughly zero it in, then do a pellet test, I try AA field, JSB express, Bisley practice and Falcon Accuracy plus. One of those will always group tighter than the others. Then do a final zero adjustment with that pellet.
      Takes ages, but I find they always seem inaccurate until that final zero and then it all comes together.
      Hope this helps

    • @darrencady4261
      @darrencady4261 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dkjngl1 Thank you for your advice which I shall try. You have answered my question when you stated follow-through and loose grip. I have been using H&N Excite. I have RWS R10 which I haven't yey tried. I have just ordered some JSB RS to try. I am toying with the idea of fitting a Protek Supplies LP53 kit which does away with the double concentric spring arrangement and allegedly increases the velocity and calms down the recoil.
      Many thanks, Ptdunk, for taking you time in answering my questions.
      Greatly appreciated.

    • @darrencady4261
      @darrencady4261 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dkjngl1 Well I have to say that your advice with loose grip and the importance of follow-through is sound. The pistol has suddenly become accurate. I was using H&N Excite before then I tried RWS R10 Match which are much better in this pistol. With the H&N I was getting 375 fps and with the R10 a nice 420 fps. (Strange thing is that R10s are notably tighter fitting). The pistol is in stock form with its double concentric mainsprings and leather piston washer.
      I have read that these can be modified to produce 500 fps with reduced recoil and buzz by using a single cut down HW30 mainspring and a delrin guide and reducing the transfer port size.
