Sweet selection of rides man! I got a hot rod show to go to this weekend, I took your advice on my last hot rod show video and have made a home made steady cam type rig, hopefully it works out.
+cyanidetube Awesome glad to hear man!!!! Some of my videos arent very stable either, but this was shot before I got some of my equipment (Early summer '15), and just got to editing it. The struggle of tring to be a professional videographer on a hobbyist schedule. haha
Hello, My name is Teresa Scott and I am in search of my fathers first car, a 1951 Ford Custom Deluxe 2 door coupe with a flathead V8 and 3 speed straight shift on the column. The original color was baby blue. He then completely customized it in 1957. My father is turning 80 in December and I would like to at least have a picture of this car to give him at his party Dec. 07. He sold it around 1959-1962 in Lima, Ohio. His name is William (Bill) R. Johns. Can you help with this? The following are the customization's he did to the car in hopes this information will help find the car if its still around. I am afraid I do not have the VIN number. Painted it black and white/ installed seat covers(black & white)/painted all the interior metal trim black and side panels black and white/ added fender skirts on rear and painted all wheels black/added Olds Starfire wheel covers/ removed several emblems on side and trunk, hood ornament/ replaced muffler with a glass pack type/lowered the rear of the car 4 inches at the axel/ cut the bottom of the steering wheel off/ added exhaust cutout/moved the shift lever to the opposite side/modified the dash to add a hidden compartment/ wired hidden switch on tail lights, brake lights and license plate light. Yes, he was a bit of a rebel. Ended up retiring as Fiber Optic Engineer. Turns out he had a genius IQ. lol Any suggestions to help me find this car would be greatly appreciated!! Sincerely, Teresa Scott teriscott1966@gmail.com
I'm taking donations if you'd like to donate the approx. $20,000 it would cost to use licensed music for this video. Otherwise, I'm more than happy using my friends music which I get for free.
I like rats. I didn't see any. I did see a whole lotta cool looking $50,000 cars. Really cool, with like blown hemi mills, trying to look like rats, but they ain't rats. A real rat just happens, built with whatever is laying around, like with ingenious use of beer cans and whatever else can be made to work for free. Or with a budget of five bucks. That's the beauty of a rat.
I agree some of the rats are over the top rats. more like hotrods. but doesn't mean they aren't rats. many of those featured in this video have been in rat rod magazine.
+ontariohvac haha na, that's your opinion and you have the right to have that opinion. I have built both types of rats, so I have equal respect for both. I love seeing creativity and quality workmanship. sometimes that comes at a price
+Tinman 2 Kustoms Yes sir it does, and not just money! These guys are up all night and all day Sunday, forget the game. And talk about craftsmanship, well there it is. Nice video too, fun to watch. Drive safe, man.
The video presentation is spectacular BUT the music selection desperately needs work... My suggestion to you Mr. Tinman 2 Kustoms, is to use either psychobilly, or rockabilly music as your background track for Rat Rod/Street Rod video presentations.... It make sense more.... I give this video 8 of 10 stars....
thanks. I use music that will not get copyright claims. so if you can find good music that will not get copyright claims in that genre, feel free to send the suggestion my way.
+Tinman 2 Kustoms When you have a 1500RPM usable power band it seriously limits how fast the car is going to be dude. It isn't necessarily a torque output race unless you only dyno your car, on the street or track that extra torque doesn't mean it'll be faster- otherwise tractors would be the baddest things on Earth bro!!! ;) I get that the diesel thing interests you, but I guarantee a well built big block with the same boost levels would always win on the track. You have to admit, I DO have a point. Diesel drag racing has come a long way, but it's got a LONG way to go before it'll be the dominant engine in the racing world. I myself, don't think it'll ever BE the dominant setup in a racing setting. Leave it for the tow rig imo. Each to their own thou...
+Daniel Brealey 1500rpm usable powerband? what the hell are you doing your research on? lol A cummins can spin 6k on stock rotating assembly with a fluidampr and pump work, etc.... My build, as well as many other diesel builds, do indeed pull things. And getting a big block to hold 75psi of boost is impossible. They are not made for it. Even a top alcohol engine can only hold about 70psi down. Thats where diesels come in, they are stronger and more long-term minded. To each his own though is correct.
+blitz krieg LOL!!! I'm born in the early 80's (very early) and I feel the same. Wish I was around back then. That's true, I DO like how it sort of gives the big middle finger to all the Prius drivers and everything they stand for!!! ;) You have a point, Hot Rods need to be cool, being fast is secondary.
Robbie Lilledahl were the franksteiners cars all at this car show? I doubt it. If they were, they weren't cool enough to get my attention. So they failed.
Tinman 2 Kustoms hmm been on tv twice and numerous mags.. yup not cool enough. Oh that's right you guy screwed one of the club member's out of some money!! Great business ya got....
MrSkyfive too*, but yeah I get what you're saying. I like the little details on rat rods so that's naturally what I get on video. at shows its hard to get full shots also. always people in the way.
uValdo Caraveo umm, rat rod is a term coined in the late nineties. HOT RODS have had blowers on them since HOT RODS were HOT RODS. So you were completely backwards there.
Sorry man, I just don't get the whole rat rod deal. It's like someone started a project, then said screw it, I'm just going to do everything half assed, then glued and screwed a bunch of garbage they found at the dump to it, then said good enough, it's done now. No thanks, I like things that are and look finished, professionally.
+CumminsDslPwr It's not for everyone, but its like the argument between muscle and tuner. Everyone has a different opinion. There is a difference between well built rat rods, and rat rods that are just thrown together. Case and point is my current build "Wild-Torquey" It will be a 6 figure ride, better built than many of the hot rods on the road, just not painted. I prefer it that way, so you dont have to clean them everyday, worry about the scratches, driving them, etc.
+Tinman 2 Kustoms Okay, but if you are going to build something, finish everything nicely, paint ready with primer sealer at least. I mean most of these rat rods have no interior, no windows, nothing is finished, just rusty cobbled together looking crap with a couple bolted on pieces of chrome. Where is the skill or craftsmanship there? Any friggin hack with a MIG welder can build junk like that. When I build something, I try and do it better, every time. Fixing a scratch in the paint is not a big deal for most people, or just leaving it there and telling war stories how it got there. Good luck man, but if you can't do something right, then don't do it at all is what I am talking about.
I get your perspective, but for some people the fun/enjoyment is in bringing something back to life that would have been sent to the crusher otherwise. You really have to build one to understand and appreciate them.
Love these creations. Sure beats the hell out of those trailer queens.
Someone knows the Title of this Song?
Can`t find it on Chuki Beats Site!
Thanks

@@Tinman2Kustoms thanks yes feedback, I wanted to clarify the name it's like Chuki Beats
@@USB-yr2zv oooooh you wanted to know the name of the music. It's all made by chuki beats. Different songs throughout the video
I want to know what songs, I watch your video for many years and sometimes through the Internet I really liked the music
The Blown Hemi car is the friggin' balls!!!!! Of course the V8 Metropolitan is off the chain..................................

+Tinman 2 Kustoms Very cool cars, I'd love to have any one of them. I kind of made an ass of myself there, sorry about that.

AWESOME video
You got my vote.
¡¡MAD MAX!!
Biggest? That's hilarious. Hot August nights fills almost every street in Reno with hot rods
Ratty RatStuff back to the fifties is the largest 3 day classic car show in the world.
So cool. God I miss this shit.

Wauuuu....😲😲😲😲😲....
I've seen the one at 3:50 irl
This is all about the overdone 2000's rat rods, nothing is 50's except maybe the year the body was made .
Back to the fifties is the name of the car show.
very nice! =D
Nice Vids .... mine, not so much but I'm working on it! LOL
Крутые телеги !
some nice metal there
the song 0:00?
I bet those gas power V8's perform so much better than that sticking diesel rod. I still don't think it cool just because it's diesel
I doubt it. the torque and mileage out of a diesel is much higher than that of a gasser.

Robbie Lilledahl I don't do business for anyone else....? I only build personal/family vehicles. You must be thinking of someone else.
to many close ups show the cars
MrSkyfive too*, but yeah I get what you're saying. I like the little details on rat rods so that's naturally what I get on video. at shows its hard to get full shots also. always people in the way.
I wanna go!
got love rods eh ..
* Gunman Productions
beau pfeiffer nope. Tinman 2 kustoms production.
I have to say I really hate skinny tires. And gassers. Sorry they just burn me up
rats forever
i hate rat rods with the big blowers. keep it old skool, thats why their called rat rods, not street hot rods.
rat rods are a form of personal artistic expression. has nothing to do with blowers or no blowers. that's my opinion anyways.
something about them big blowers, looks to modern on a ratrod.
