Enjoyed the details of this rat rod jeep build, great fabrication skills .. especially enjoyed how the theme flowed and the sprayed on chemicals to make it rusted.
love the custom fabricated frame running a cummins can't get better in that department , I'm a fabricator and think you guys put some pretty trick work into the beast props
keep the storage box for a cooler, tow strap, jumper cables, tools and spare alternator etc. Use 1 battery. Now onto the motor swap. focus on that and forget the cage and everything else for now do all that later when the motor is in... Save alot of pain and buy Autofab motor mounts. Use a 4r70w 99+ mustang trans, with a manual valve body shift kit from trans go. Forget cutting the firewall the motor will fit as is. Just use a hammer and smash down the underside of the tranny hump spot welded sheet metal Drop in the motor and mock up your fan and radiator clearance. Get the mustang drive shaft too. take to a local driveshaft shop to shorten it up, after you cycle the rear suspension. wire up 12 volts for your dizzy, starter, make sure you have a good engine ground to the chassis and fire it up ,crack a beer. Drop it off at the fab shop to tie in cage to engine cage then load up for thanksgiving at glamis. let me know if you need other details.
I can appreciate the craftsmanship and it looks great but...you can't actually wheel it. First of all you probably wouldn't want to because the art work would get damaged. Second of all the first roll over would kill the driver.
You'd think they'd wanna promote how well they can fabricate stuff.. they are a fab shop after all.. I'd enjoy SEMA a whole lot more if there were more Pepe Palomo rigs and Marlin Crawler rigs..
Philip Gragg I think the market for custom fab work is significantly smaller than the market for aftermarket parts. Custom fab work is expensive and typically only wealthy people can afford it. Bolt on bumpers however appeal to a huge segment of weekend warrior market. A perfect example is FabFours and their 53" tired Jeep JK legend build. It's a completely useless and non-functional truck mod that nobody (in their right mind) would ever pay for but...for the inexperienced it's impressive looking. This prompts them to go look at their website and possibly buy a bumper for their mall crawler.
Holy shit that's phenomenal. A lot of work gone into that. Should be featured in the next Mad Max movie. I'd probably still prefer a ride with the girl though.
That's a Kool looking steampunk styled jeep with a Cummins in it. The term rat rod seem's to get misused a lot these day's though. The good old boy's I know tell me the traditional meaning of a rat rod is actually supposed to be an old Ford body with a Chev motor though
@@Hauk_Unlimited I get it. The project is about looking MadMax. If you wanna drive that thing seriously you don't want that skull thing on your wheel. Maybe check this out th-cam.com/video/gVMAqzyvjis/w-d-xo.html And sorry if I stepped on your toes. I revised my comment.
I'm at 1:01 already thinking why are we doing this cutting up a perfectly good tub like come on I just don't understand it if it was a tub that was sitting out in a field half gone and you cut out the old stuff that's one thing but rely it's a brand new tub
You wasted eight minutes of my life telling me this was a rock beast I didn’t see it go over any rocks maybe some pebbles on that flat dirt road that I could do in a Prius with 4 flat tires
I remember watching the progress of this build and I was amazed at the outcome. However this build leans more to the realm of “Steampunk” than Ratrod. Also this is a strict show piece, you’d be a fool to take this remotely close to any rocks taller the 4ft tall. That would be the equivalent to taking a 150k Range Rover off-roaring. 🤦🏽♂️ You just don’t do it.
So Honored to have these guys right up the road from me. 12 miles away!
The attention to detail on this thing is phenomenal. There's a lot going on but it works.
daaaaaaamn Daniel... at it again with another sick ass jeep
That farm road is the most dirt it will ever see
Its more than I’ve built. Lol It will lead to more work as a showcase of skills. Doesn’t look like there is mountains there anyway.
Enjoyed the details of this rat rod jeep build, great fabrication skills .. especially enjoyed how the theme flowed and the sprayed on chemicals to make it rusted.
Well done gents. Its projects like these that satisfy some wheelers dreams. Practical or not, nice combo of style, rock crawlerness, and jeep.
That Copper Stuff Paintwork turns out to be AWESOME! !!
What the name of the product
Probably rhe coolest build I ever saw! Love the brass knuckles
Thats absolutely stunning and I dont say that much!!! Ive been wanting to build a rat rod for a while now
love the custom fabricated frame running a cummins can't get better in that department , I'm a fabricator and think you guys put some pretty trick work into the beast props
Work of art. Truly stunning.
I always wanted to do an unlimited budget build like this with 100% new components.
love it. very cool even if it's a parking garage lot crawler at the end of the day. if it sees the trail then it's super cool.
I feel like I built my truck to early with all the rat rod old school trucks comin round good job guy's gotta love the old stuff🇺🇸
Thanks Dan!
Awesome machine from Hauk Designs!
Hauk Tua Unlimited. This video dope
Absolutely badass. Great work as usual!

Yea !!! What a Great Build!
Wow this is so beatiful
this beast should be on the next Mad Max movie. ;)
that's what I was in thinking not really a rat but a mad Max rat
Awesome ride! Where are the rocks??
I love yalls work
whats the product you use to make that copper tarnished look ??
josh SIEBENHAAR It Looks like spray paint. A very good paint job indeed. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Wow that is just a bad ass !! Love it dude. I watch for more
Thanks bro!
Love the turn out! Add some hot eye candy dudes for the lady viewers, too.....we're out there!
Very amazing and awesome.Good job
That is bad ass Kenny ....

Yup. Great SEMA build, follows standard SEMA protocol of being expensive with zero rock crawling functionality
Philip Gragg SEMA is about promoting products to sell and make money. Functionality is secondary...unfortunately.
You'd think they'd wanna promote how well they can fabricate stuff.. they are a fab shop after all.. I'd enjoy SEMA a whole lot more if there were more Pepe Palomo rigs and Marlin Crawler rigs..

Internet Tough Guy It's just a creative way to market the products
a true piece of art
"So we call up our friends at.." The doll at the end was easily the best part!
We still play with dolls!
Let's see it in action looks don't get you home!!!!
Looks cool. But do you actually wheel it? Guessing not 😉
We loved wheeling it! But now its in a private collection in the middle east.
That is not a rat. that is a fake, made to look rat. rat is all about making it work with what ever you have in the scrap bin.
Benny Bönes Plays, agreed this mad max wannabe far from a rat rod
this is one huge ad
How is that paint called still efects and Where can you buy it
Steel FX.......
I'm just here for the girl!
A jeep like that will give you access into the waters of kalamazoo! Wet your beak!
All that time/money/effort could have been put to something useful that could actually wheel. This thing is everything I hate about SEMA builds.
bmxland they may call it a rock climber but it ain't its for show it is good at what it does tho
It sure is
Holy shit that's phenomenal. A lot of work gone into that. Should be featured in the next Mad Max movie. I'd probably still prefer a ride with the girl though.
Sweet ride! Put a decent motor in it and it’d be even better!
The rock is so hooot to handle I love it guyz next Time put pressurized cylinders for it to be a rocket what about the lady💖👍👍
Oh yes pressurized cylinders are a must!
Awesome build, but I just have to know the name of the song and artist ending the clip.
Let’s see it on the rubicon😊

Man thats wicked!!!
one word ... wow !!!
Awesome build. But I'd like to see it wheeled.
I'm not convinced that the rollcage is safe. for show it looks awesome. for real world wheeling I'd be iffy. cool build though.
Would of liked to see it actually crawling! Probally scared to scratch it!
We love to scratch it!
Hi Mr ratrok I love ur job bro but I need to be trained by u guys 💟💟👍👍
Yes training is key young Padawan!
whats the first song...only credits the 2nd song?
Darude, Sandstorm.
the first song that kicks in at 13 sec is def not Darude.
That's should go to museum. Not street. I dig it
How much for this vehicle??????
Never really got to see a good look at the rat rod it was more about the supplies used
Thanks for the feedback!
Yes please.
Glad you liked it!
O........M.....G........ what a waste of time.
Whats the song at the beginning ?
WOW, I hit the "Skip Ads" button, and the whole video went away....
....AND... it never went over one rock...huh?
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you!
CLASSIC!
Where can I find that paint
It is a chemical that we used on bare steel, then covered with a clear coat.
riverraider.com/accessories/copper-patina-chemical/
is that top speed 40 mile?.. looks nice.. but not for the ride..
Some of that is stunning and the gauge mount is pants :o( Hopefully it got lobbed and a cool one made :o)
good build...but the lady is better. haha
Gabriel Ong I was thinking the same thing lol
Gabriel Ong it needs to be at koh2017 backdoor shootout. cant call it a rock crawler and then only drive it down a farmers field road. lol
The lady also has a pretty good build :)
Skull looking dangerous if you ask me.
Your ten year old is setting your standards for style and taste! Do everyone a favor and stop procreating ASAP. #gethelp
Went through all that BS and didn't even get to see rock crawling.
life is not fair!!!!!!!!
Ik it’s more of a hotrod look but I’d like to see it with a 6-8 inch lift lol
Awesome!
What car? Got a bit distracted. Ahem.
To bad it is a show piece, and not a rock crawler or a rat rod,, It is nothing more than a showboat
Best and awesome 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
looks like its straight outta mad max
Look like a amazing crapy car
Is this the main channel for Hauk Designs??
Yes it is! :)
Congratulations on building a tractor
Thanks John! I do like to plow!
No rocks were ever harmed in the making of this film Or driving on
I'm at 1:01 already thinking why are we doing this cutting up a perfectly good tub like come on I just don't understand it if it was a tub that was sitting out in a field half gone and you cut out the old stuff that's one thing but rely it's a brand new tub
I've watched lots of builds on TH-cam. Seen my share of Twisted, pSick Rods and Wycked Junk. I would drive the Fuck outta this Willys with Pride!
I ll try to break it ..lol
model ??
is this ratrod or steam punk
yes absolutely....
What what happened to the TV show
FLIPANDO FROM SPAIN
Awesome!

que maquinao. adorei
my 83 fj40 with 5.7 vortec,nv4500 5 spd. and 33'' bfg mudders wheels harder than that with my wife driving!
WITNESSED!
Definitely leaning more towards Mad Max.
I do love me some thunder dome!
The question is from a LONG TIME Jeeper: who are you guy Never heard of you
I love it
Looks cool but this is practically a commercial video, would be much better with more "build time" in it.And those are not bucket seats.
Mad max
