The Leatherman Bolster is no longer discontinued? (So why am I angry?)

The Leatherman Bolster is now available on the official Leatherman website and is no longer a Cosco exclusive! So why am I annoyed?? There are a few reasons but the main reason is the price difference with nothing new added to the tool. What are your thoughts on the Leatherman Bolster?

My guess is it's not that Leatherman meant to give the tool a price increase for the sake of a price increase, but rather that they are able to sell it at Costco for less than they would be able to sell it anywhere else since Costco makes their money on the Wholesale club memberships instead of the actual items they sell (i.e. Costco won't mark up the price that much for a higher profit margin since it doesn't fit their business model). It looks like a price increase because the tool was initially a Costco exclusive meaning that our only price benchmark was the club discounted price. Still, the relative price increase really takes a lot of the competitive value out of the tool when you're paying full price for it.

I'm in the UK so we don't have the Bolster here but that's by the by as I wouldn't get it anyway. But you said that the Bolster is basically a Sidekick without saw...but isn't that the Rev? I have looked at the pics of the Bolster and it differs from the Rev and Sidekick/Wingman in that it has a small serrated blade instead of package opener. Neither really appeal to me.
I have a Rebar which I can't carry due to our stupid laws, and a Bond which I can carry as it's a non-locking blade. I'm quite happy with the Bond although it would be cool if they made one with scissors and saw but then again I can get a Rebar knifeless for that, and carry it with a Spyderco slipjoint...which I do with the Bond anyway lol. The choil design on those - I prefer the Urban to the UKPK - makes it pretty impossible to close on your fingers anyway, I'm surprised they're not banned here yet but our lawmakers are mostly senile octagenarians so they are out of touch anyway.
The Rev/Sidekick/Wingman/Bolster have those joke stubby files, and 2D Phillips which is a deal breaker for me anyway, which is fine as they are budget tools, but I find it hilarious that they put those on the Free Series too, which are premium priced, in fact they're more expensive than the Wave.
I think the Rebar/Bond/Supertool have the best Phillips drivers of all Leathermans, I don't rate those LM half bits - might be okay for slotted screw heads but the rest are obviously doomed to fail as they lack profile. Plus if I'm going to carry a bit kit and extender or LM ratchet, there are plenty of small dedicated ratchets and bit drivers I can use with high quality 1/4 in bits.

BTW, I've heard that the Bond might technically (and stupidly) be considered an illegal locking knife in the UK due to the handle preventing it from being "readily foldable."

@@chefboiarby304 Yes I know about that issue. Would depend on the judge and how he interprets that law, but also the police have a lot of discretion in deciding whether to press charges and send the case to court so it depends on a lot of variables.
