Watch a full tutorial as a 2007 Chevy Silverado will have a brand new Alpine 6.5" Coaxial speakers installed in the door and A-pillar locations. We will be using the Alpine Type S S-S65C Coaxials that produce great sound quality and bass response.
This video applies to GM Vehicles such as Sierra, Silverado, Tahoe, Suburban, Avalanche, Yukon, and Escalade models for years 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014. This video also includes door trim and panel removal, speaker wiring, and installation.
NOTE: if you have factory Bose amplified system, often the rear door speakers are 3.5 (ish) or 8 ohms (depending on your vehicle) which most aftermarket 4 ohm speakers would be fine as a replacement. Front doors are 1.9 ohms so replacing front doors with 4 ohm speakers will result in a significant volume loss. We recommend testing the impedance of your speakers to best determine the best replacement for your vehicle.
We will suggest great Bose speaker replacements down below.

Hey, I posted on a related video, you showing how to replace the rear speakers. I installed a pair of Alpine S2 S-65 coaxials about a week ago, and still had my factory front speakers. It definitey sounded much better than when I had my factory head unit and all my factory speakers. Was deliberating about what to put in the front. Initially was just gonna run coaxials all the way around and call it good but this video right here is what made me decide to go with components, Alpine S2 S-65c.
Now I'm not exactly the most handy person when it comes to messing with anything electrical so I was worried I would somehow mess something up, somehow it wouldn't sound good or I'd get something backwards, but I gotta say this tutorial is almost failproof. I follwed the instructions step for step and I got everything wired up and just put my interior back together. Took my truck for a quick spin around the block so I could turn it up a bit and I gotta say it sounds amazing!
Maybe its because I've been listening to stock speakers for the last 8 or 9 years, I dunno, but this set up actually sounds way better than what I was expecting. Everything sounds so crisp and clear, these little speakers actually carry quite a bit of mid bass. I was pretty impressed with what I'm hearing. Now I think I'm gonna have to pony up a little more cash for a sub, that would really be the perfect touch.
Any recommendations for a subwoofer and amp combo that would pair well with this setup? Don't really need anything windshield shattering lol, was thinking maybe a single 10" sub. I just want something that will tuck up under the seat, something that wont kill too much space since its only an extended cab, plus my kids ride with me a good bit. Also wanted to thank you for making a video thats easy to understand, not everyone has that ability.

@whiteamerican Nothing so far, figured I'd wait til after Christmas so I'd have a little more disposable income lol. I'm thinking maybe a single 10", not sure the model number but there's a Rockford Fosgate rated at 1200 RMS I was thinking of picking up. Not sure what amp to go with but want something that pairs up well with it as far as power goes. I know most DVC subs are usually dual 4 ohm voice coils so that would only create a 2 ohm load. I know you need to create a 1 ohm load to get the most out of most amps, maybe I can find an amp that will push around 1500 watts@ 2 ohms?

@crimsontide1980 you are doing exactly what I am wanting to do. All new door speakers, New radio head unit, and one small subwoofer. Anything more than that will rattle everything out. I have a 2012 crew cab with the 4.8L

All depends on the condition of the factory amp and radio. In most instances, you will get better performance bypass the bose system altogether, however, that will require a bit more work and expense. You should see an increase in quality, but will still be limited to the audio quality from the factory amp and radio.
