Thanks your the only channel that shows how to change the tweeter
Yea I was looking all over for people showing how to change that speaker. Figured I might as well be the one to do it lol
Im not 3 minutes into the video yet and I have to commend you for how well you're explaining things!
This is what I'm talking about straight to the point no BS I'm subscribing nice job sir
Thankyou man! I try to not add a bunch of useless fluff to videos like alot of people do. Don't want to waste anybody's time
From a 2003 Chevy Suburban z71 thank you, sir 🫡
Hey bro, can’t thank you enough for sharing your project. It came out really nice so many helpful tips.
Great explanation my man! Great job! Doing this!
thankyou! Glad it was helpful
Very helpful. Thanks man. Any chance you will do a video of the rear speakers? I want to replace all of mine using factory wiring.
Nice video. Straight to the point 🙏
glad I could help!
Great video.
Good video man thank you !
glad it was helpful!!
Good info. Great job. New subscriber.
Glad it was helpful!
Can you do a video about replacing the stock Bose subwoofer?
Great video! I dont have the bose option, so I have no tweeter, should i add some aftermarket ones? Or do aftermarket speakers take care of that
Man, you did a really good job of explaining things. Serious question tho, does this setup really sound any better than the Bose speakers when using just the stock power? Back in my stereo addiction days, you had to put an amp on aftermarket component speakers to really make them happy. Great video.
Yea you bring up a great point! To me, it literally sounds the same. This is only good if you're planning later on to add an amplifier to them, or if you have a blown bose speaker
Personally I feel like a better head unit makes the biggest difference for these systems.
What are the tweeter wire colors for the driver side and which is positive and negative?
Is it the same size tweeter for the back ones as well?
What size are the mid ranger speakers in the back?
I have the Bose in my 2003 Duramax crew cab . I have kenwood stero and amp and two 12s so I just replace the door and tweeters with different using the same stock wires right ? Don’t need to add no crossover or whatever ? I’m new to the audio
Do they sell the tweeters separately? Part number?
Did you lose any volume, Using type R on factory amp??
🙋♂️ Do those adapters work on the back doors as well? (To make plug-n-play w/ 724568 Metra connectors )
When you snapped the new tweeters into the factory grille/mount it looked like the dome of the tweeter may have compressed against the grille.
They sound fine. I sure hope I didn't lol
Did you video on the Double Din. I’m going to do that on my 2001 Suburban
I didn't film that. I will probably do an overview of it when I upgrade to a separate amplifier to bypass the bose amp
Can you fit 6 3/4 speakers ?
Can we get a sound check?
What size is the twitter? 1 inch?
I need this in my truck
Done and done :)
amazing video like always dude quick question what radio would you recommend and what subwoofer for my 04 Cadillac escalade esv i got no sub and standard Bose setup with the Navi radio am looking to upgrade cheap but still quality thx
Not sure how much of a budget you're on, but rhe kicker comp line is decently cheap but sounds great, at least to me. Also I am doing a video here soon on the three ways to bypass your bose. Some of them are free with a harness back way back behind your head unit
@@beardedreviews sooner than later I hope, just bought an 05 with Bose.

@@asherdie I think you commented on the wrong reply? Were you wanting the video about the rear speakers?
Did you not run the crossover for the Alpine Type R speakers? If you did, where did you put it? Is the crossover not needed with the factory amp?
Good question actually. My guess is that it’s not needed because the factory head unit is probably already doing that work.
Can you do a video on the d pillar speakers
I haven't replaced those yet, but I'm sure I'll probably film a short video on it when I do
You kinda look like bobby gately from Sacramento CA...
How many inches is it
Do all tweeters come apart like that. And how will I know others fit. Ik those alpines clicked right in
I'm not totally sure on that. I guess get the specs on the type r tweeters diameter, and see if the diameter of the tweeter you want is the same?
I am getting ready to order these speakers and was wondering how they are holding up? Did you use the crossover for the tweeters? Great video, not many out there changing the tweeters in the A pillar.
they still sound great. Yea I just used the factory crossover wiring, and just swapped speakers. I sold it, but it was to my friend who lives up the street from me, so I still get to drive it every once in a while
@@beardedreviews awesome, thanks for the information
@@RM-iy7xx no problem!
Bose runs a different ohm the after market
Hello I have a question. I saw your speakers are 4 ohms impedance. Did you install a new amp because as far as my understanding goes. The amp doesn’t support 4 ohm speakers.
the amp supports 4 ohm speakers, they're just a tiny bit quieter than the stock speakers, but you would never know unless you always have the volume all the way up
Does the after market speakers match the stock ohm output?
No I used 4 ohm speakers. They still get plenty loud
I thought you need a crossover for the tweeter?
Also can’t believe Bose have such cheap material speaker
Dawg what about the crossover also the ohms don't match the factory bose amp specs those tweeters have built in crossovers or is there a box that goes with it you thoroughly explained everything except the important stuff you can't just use any speaker in place of a bose 1.9 ohm front and 3.9 rear so not sure everything would sound right maybe I'm wrong But I thought the correct way would be to run wires to each speaker and run a 4 channel amp For the interior speakers with an aftermarket radio otherwise leave the bose speakers in
Right.? I have same system, Bose 9 speaker. I'v had several radio shops tell me the Bose system is super sensitive to the specific ohm ratings that are the factory speakers and they have all recommended either dump the factory amp entirely and build it back or go back with exactly the same ohm speakers everywhere or else problems and/or poor sound will follow. So idk yet for my truck
I bought nvx 2ohm components for the front. Used the crossover for the tweeter and used the main speaker connected to the stock wiring. (No crossover)
Infinity 3ohm components in my rear.
Sound loud and perfect
What size door speakers in the back?
6 1/2 speakers in back seats and then tweeters in the rear by the door
SPEAKER SIZES!
If it is get some apocalypse speakers
I have 3 pairs of those. Theyre midrange speakers, not coaxial speakers. Most ppl would be disappointed dropping those in because theyre made for volume and arent made for any kind of bass like coaxials are. Its just two diff types of speakers. Coaxials work better with factory Bose systems, the Deaf Bonce would receive too little power and the filters would be incorrect
Why you replace Bose speaker? It Is better than Alpine.
Well, it's not. It's also made out of thin paper, which doesn't last as long as a nice component speaker
You wrong, The bose sound much better than all aftermarket speakers, its not about strong it’s about the music beauty
I think you would find many people who disagree with you. It's all subjective though. If you think bose sounds better, then thats what works for you
Bose is a good company when it comes to sound but, the materials that they used on these GM trucks for the speakers were, low quality materials. Why did Bose do this? Simple, save the company money.
in all actuality the Bose is a much better speaker than the alpine ( frequency wise) if you do this upgrade you are going to be disappointed, i promise you! If you dont plain to add an aftermarket amplifier then you should not do this upgrade unless the speakers blown
I wasn't disappointed.
@@beardedreviewsseem to be a lot of Bose bots in the comments.
do you know if i can still do this without the factory bose?
Yes, the only difference should be the ohm rating of the factory speaker. Size should be the same, but if you just get 4 ohm speakers you should be just fine
@@beardedreviews thank u man
no problem at all man!@@BootyTickler420
its a 8 pin adapter lol
What I did was buy a used bose home theater system tore it all apart and put them in the truck 😂
hey, it honestly might sound great
