  • Extra edition of the "I want an old car!" project. Introducing old cars and old car owners. This time we interviewed the Lincoln Continental Mark VI, which was manufactured between 1980 and 1983.
↓The outline of the vehicle is as follows.
1983 Lincoln Mark 6 Signature Series
Mileage: 60,790 miles (actually over 200,000 km)
    ・Engine: 5 liter V8 OHV
    Maximum output: 129hp (96 kW)/3600rpm
    Maximum torque: 240lb⋅ft (325Nm) /2000rpm
・Mission: Column type 4-speed AT (AOD automatic)
    ・Drive system: FR (2WD)
    ・Body color: White
    ・Interior: Gray
    ・Seating capacity: 6 people
    ・Platform: Ford Panther platform
    ・Total length x width x height: 5490 x 1984 x 1400mm
    ・Wheel base: 2910mm
As I said in the video, when I went to the BUBU Yokohama store for an interview, I saw this vehicle that I sometimes see in the store's employee parking lot and thought, ``It stands out.It has a nice atmosphere. If I had a chance, I would have taken a picture of it.'' ' That's what I was thinking.
Then, when I went to cover the vintage car morning cruise held at Wakasu Seaside Park on Sunday, November 26th, this vehicle was also there, so I hurriedly took a photo of it.
However, this time I originally went to the interview with the intention of taking photos, so I didn't bring a microphone or video equipment, so I couldn't capture much sound.
However, in a sense, I didn't care about what the author or the owner said in this video; I wanted people to see the vehicle itself, such as the exterior of the vehicle, the movement of the headlights and windows, and the environment in which it was shot in the first place, such as the rain and wind. It was bad, so I honestly wonder if this is enough? I think so (lol)
Although the overall length is approximately 5.5 meters, the wheelbase is only 3 meters. In other words, the front and rear overhangs are long, but sedans and coupes with this style are unique to American cars of this era. It's a style that can't be found in Japanese cars!
It's a two-door car with this overall length, so it makes no sense to make the headlights retractable, and the vinyl top on the back part feels like it's just for design purposes, and the interior is so luxurious that it's hard to believe it's a passenger car. And the trunk is so spacious that you wonder what you're going to put in it (lol), so it's like an American car! That's what it feels like.
Wow, that's cool! Anyone who rides this car will feel more relaxed, and if you drive a car like this, even the most impatient idiots will stop doing the unseemly rash driving. That's what I think. w
