im doing mine now. i didn't weld the dingaling that hangs out the bottom of shifter. FelPro# ES 70599 fuel injector orings fit up inside there. just knock the roll pin and it takes two. makes it's nice and tight, perfect fit and these are tough as hell too.
I agree with the above comment. I'll try the o-rings. I'd hate to have the weld break and get little metal boogers down into the gear box. O-rings seem to be a better bet.

That's nice to know. I bet it's good to have something like a bushing instead of just welding them together.

Holding up well! Just watch your weld on the Ball section, in the video I explain that I had to massage it in with a flap wheel.
