Thats really cool , I used to cut every other syncro tooth off for faster shifts
I've been planning on trying that later on. Once I get the shifter situation figured out. I've got several ideas brewing in my brain.

Granny shifting not double clutching like you should
It's a synchronized Trans, no need to double clutch.
😅 Almost 25 years ago already....
@SquarebodyStuff it's amazing the amount of people who think you still need to double clutch, that transmission came out in 1969 and has always been synchronized, I wish that habit would go away.

Thanks, I think I just went to far. I'll probably try to build them back up and experiment some more on them.
I don’t know how much you use granny low, but I wonder if you cut out the gears and put in place spacers along with cutting out the 1st gear shift fork would make it shift faster due to less rotational mass in the transmission along with less mass to move on the shift forks. I would think it might help, but awesome video.

Thanks, I've thought about that, but then it's not a granny low any more. I still use it occasionally, it makes it easier to load on the trailer, and it's fun to see the looks on people's face when I get out of the truck and walk next to it idling along. I do ha e some ideas for lightening the insides on down the road.

I put my sm465 in mine to make it fun. I changed from th400 to sm465 and I am so happy till I hit 4th gear and it started grinding and shaking... I have another one to put in when I get time.

My sm465 was seized when I put in. So I filled with atf and something else and soaked for a few days. But when I drained there was alot of brass flakes.
Do you think a 750 holly double pump is too big for my 350 with a summit 1107 cam?
I'm running one on this 339 with the same cam, and it likes it. If all you do is street cruising you could get better drivabelity with a 650. Depends on the application

Lol, awesome. I really like the cam. Good hot street cam that pulls good vacuum, is great for nitrous or boost, and most importantly, has a good chop to it. Lol
how hard to find a sm465 ?
There's plenty out there. They were used in trucks from 68-91

Yea there pretty common and bulletproof
Not so bullet proof on my end. I've trashed a few through the years. But they will take more of a beating than any car 4 speed.
@@SquarebodyStuff I drag raced a 465/20815 years ago... they break! I used atf, tried making a taller shift tower to shorten the throw.... they break! And back to stock 465s!
