@@CaptainZac yeah the signal crayfish we have native to Washington are really tasty and can grow to a good size. Im still learning where to find them here but had spots dialed when I used to live in California.

You know I looked at the SMI brand trap I had purchased. It had a 2.5 inch diameter and I was wondering if the larger claw crayfish were able to get in. My thought was why not try twice as big. Lol guess we will see this season if it was a good idea or not.
I made one like this but when we coned in the holes they were much smaller like 3 1/2-4 fingers width,,,, have you caught any yet? I go this Thursday here in Colorado
That's a much better trap than my dollar-store waste basket trap, and much easier than window screen.

Eat them for sure. When I was a kid I used them as bait for largemouth. Looking forward to seeing if the trap works well.

Yeah, I went a little large with the hole. I have caught some in it. I should do another video with it in action.
